All Songs & Artists Featured on ‘Landman’ Season 1 (Running Tab)

Taylor Sheridan’s TV series Yellowstone has been instrumental in the rise of independent country artists that mainstream country radio regularly ignores. One of the reasons some of your favorite performers have risen from obscurity is due to the series highlighting one or more of their songs, giving them both a handsome payday as well as exposure to a massive audience.
As Yellowstone (potentially) comes to a close, a new Taylor Sheridan-produced series called Landman streaming on Paramount+ with Yellowstone‘s Music Supervisor Andrea von Foerster looks to pick up where Yellowstone left off. In fact, Foerster has promised to pack even more songs into each episode, which we’ve seen from the series as it has transpired.
As songs are showcased in the series, a running tab will be kept here to help folks connect with something that might have connected with them.

Okay, so this is cool, all the exposure LANDMAN is giving artists.
And, speaking of music – just got home from the KANSAS concert.
Not one original member on stage.
HOWEVER, at the 1 hr. 43 min. mark, i was All In.
Some of the most A M A Z I N G musical talent I have ever seen.
GO, DEFINITELY go see KANSAS if they are in your area, & you can get tickets.

It is “Livin’ It Up Down In Texas” by Billy F Gibbons, not yet released.

This song playing at the end of Episode 9 is NOT “Livin’ It Up Down In Texas” by Billy Gibbons. That song is playing earlier in the episode when the wife and daughter are working out at the gym. Not sure who is reporting it, but it is incorrect.
It is likely the ending song in Episode 9 is part of the score, meaning it was composed for that scene specifically, and is not a licensed song from another artist. However, I am working to confirm this, or to find the true artist and song title. If/when this information becomes available, it will be updated in the article proper.

It’s a song called Through the Maze by Sleeping Pandora with a vocal over the top. Haven’t been able to find who the singer is though.

Howdy! Any one know the song on episode 10 /more like instrumentals when Tommy said he was going to start drinking again and it pans to the hospital with Monty and his family. Thanks for the help!
Trigger
January 13, 2025 @ 5:30 pm
I believe this is part of the “score” as opposed to an actual song, meaning it was composed for that specific scene. There were numerous of these moments in both Episode 9 and 10.

Oh I see – so it’s not really a song we can track down got it! Thanks a ton for taking the time to respond. God Bless!

You absolutely have to listen to TALES AND TELLINGS, by Marques Morel. All his songs would fit into your Landman series and Yellowstone. He writes all his own music. Website= http://www.marquesmorel.com

Trigg, can’t we have a tv-series about SCM? Mike Harmeier would be perfect to play you as an adult. And you could be in charge of music. I’d love to hear what a SCM: The collage years:playlist, would sound like.

I was initially excited to watch this show, and the soundtrack speaks for itself.
But it’s a Taylor Sheridan production, and he only hires shitty writers.

I believe this is an original composition that is part of the “score” of the series. The score is something composed apart from the song syncs in the episode to fit each scene.

What is the music on the opening scene of Episode 7? It’s not listed in the above list. It’s when Billy Bob is waiting for Cooper in the hospital parking lot. I’ve heard it before, but even Shazam can’t identify it!

Episode 9,
Last song at the end of the show,
long ride on another day, come alive on another day, I’m alright on another day don’t know why, come down on another day, long long ride on another day, that i don’t really know what can go wrong
Hard to make out the words but this is what I could make out.

Final song: Episode 9 – I had to go back and listen a couple of times. That was beautiful…and haunting. Fed the scene just right.
Your listing says: ??? – “???” – (unreleased song) (Coyote in the field, ending scene)
Please let me know if you find out more. I would sure love to hear that again…and again.

I have seen that the song is “Livin’ It Up Down In Texas” by Billy F Gibbons. Not released officially yet.
Trigger
January 7, 2025 @ 7:48 am
There is no way that is Billy Gibbons. “Livin’ It Up Down In Texas” is in the episode in the background in another scene, but that’s not the final song. It very well might be part of the score of the series. There have been numerous songs in this series originally composed that instead of sounding like background noise sound like original songs. Still trying to run down the proper name of the song and will share it as soon as that information is available.

January 7, 2025 @ 9:06 pm
I’m not bothered at you at all. But it does bother me that false information is being spread out there. I am a journalist, and it is my job to try and get the truth to he public, and so I’m just reiterating the true information. The whole point of this article is to make sure creators are given proper credit. Apologies if it comes across as combative.

I am most definitely not trying to take credit away from anyone. I wanted to know the artist and song as much as anyone. In all honesty, I posted that because it was the youtube video that has the song on loop. I know everyone wants to find it and I thought if it could help someone else find it that would be great. You’re good no issues. I understand that is your job.

It’s a solid series and the music choices have been near perfect for setting mood. As Trigger mentions, Thornton is playing a pretty good role but I like his work anyway and especially in GOLIATH which isn’t for everyone. I guess.
Thanks for this article, Trigger. Good read. I take it you have been watching LANDMAN, no?
