George Strait, Chris Stapleton Plot Limited Run of 2025 Stadium Shows
You won’t hear “King” George Strait on the radio, and you’ll barely hear songs from Chris Stapleton these days. But both of these country stalwarts can sell out shows at the stadium level, and will do so once again in 2025. Stapleton already has a slate full of appearances lined up on his All-American Roadshow Tour. But he will add five more dates to compliment George Strait for some of King George’s only live appearances in the coming year.
“I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back. Please don’t ever stop. I still love it just as much as I always have,” says George Strait. “Thank you for an amazing year last year and I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year. Chris will be back and glad to have Little Big Town with us in LA. For the other cities, we’ve added Parker M. to the show which will be outstanding. Can’t wait to see you!!”
“Parker M” happens to be Parker McCollum for the uninitiated, who also helped open George Strait’s now historic Texas A&M Kyle Field appearance where 110,905 fans in attendance, making it the largest single ticketed event in United States history. Incidentally, that history is set to be broken by Zach Bryan when he takes the stage September 27th where fans bought more than 112,000 tickets for his show at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.
But before that happens, George Strait with Chris Stapleton will likely sell out five more stadiums in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, NY, Foxboro, MA, and Inglewood, CA. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. local time via GeorgeStrait.com.
May 10 – Philadelphia, PA – Lincoln Financial Field
May 31 – Pittsburgh, PA – Acrisure Stadium
June 14 – Buffalo, NY – Highmark Stadium
June 21 – Foxborough, MA – Gillette Stadium
July 19 – Inglewood, CA – SoFi Stadium

Which sucks because Country trumpets its adherence to tradition,and King George is on the Mount Rushmore of Country boy singers,while Chris Stapleton is traditional Country. But it’s great both are planning some studium shows this year.

We finally get a show here in SW PA, Ohio Valley, Appalachia! It’s been since 2008 the last time I saw George Strait in concert at Star Lake.
I’ll play the secondary market with this one as they will try to fit 80,000 + in Acrisure and those bots will have a lot of inventory to unload week of.

Shocked to see Pgh on there. Drove to NYC last year because I didn’t think he’d make it back here. I’ll be waiting until the day or two before to buy as well.

Tex, for the 15th time, nobody pays money to see Strait play guitar. It’s the VOICE, the SONGS, the BAND , the presence. Did people honestly care when George Jones strummed chords or not on his Martin?
Of course they didn’t. Whether or not you dig him, people in Texas and for that matter everywhere, revere George Strait.
Sounds like some great shows for sure. But I’m not much on stadium shows anymore. Not worth the discomfort, exorbitant prices for seats that require binoculars to see the artist from, overpriced beer, ridiculous parking pricing and the general hassle.

Every artist would play stadiums if they could, I’m sure, but I’d rather go see a less in-demand artist or group from the era in a theater–i.e. Tracy Lawrence, Clint Black, Lee Roy Parnell, Pam Tillis, Sawyer Brown, etc.-and for a lower price—than see George Strait in a football stadium.

The whole Zach Bryan thing is…interesting. Yeah he’s not country – at all. He couldn’t find a shuffle or swing beat if it was water and he fell out of a boat. However he’s helped out many newer country acts. He’s going to have attendance records with the most under-produced albums out there.
How many people does Zach Bryan need to help him screw in a lightbulb?
Just himself – he holds onto the lightbulb and the world revolves around him

Happy to hear George is coming back in 2025 but I didn’t see Salt Lake City Utah on the list !!! I hope he’s adding a few more shows and includes Utah, I paid $1126.00 for his Salt lake show in 2024 for 2 tickets and would love to do it again! He puts on one hell of a show! Utah loves you George!!!

I went to a Garth Brooks concert in 1993 (a co-private offered me the ticket). We ended up in the back of the hall.
We saw his white hat twice as he waved it! Actually, it could be Ty England’s hat, his guitar slinger.

Finally! Great to see that you are now doing this.
I applaud your goal to host an open forum that allows unedited comments. But too many have abused that privilege and attempt to take almost every discussion off track with extraneous remarks not pertinent to the topic. Worse yet many of those posts often include inaccurate or totally false comments. They do not contribute to the topic at hand and create unnecessary distractions.

…obviously, my monarchy-comment regarding “the king of country music” going back on tour again this year was deemed unsuitably political enough to be cancelled. i apologise for any inconvenience my light-hearted onliner expressing some joy and a little envy about that fact, in combination with a pinch of current flavor, caused.
however, ms. montague’s comment on rather substantial ticket prices for these shows rather seem to underline my point that we are dealing with royal hights to attend these big shows.
