New Adds to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 Current Playlist (#170)

If your New Years resolution was to ditch the empty calories of pop country, and start a routine of healthy music chock full of twang, truth, and top quality songwriting, this is a great place to start.

The Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist is built to keep you informed on all the best songs and albums coming out right here, right now in country and roots music. It’s available on most all streaming formats (see below), or you can just use the song, artist, and album recommendations to find something new to listen to.

Newest Additions:

Abbey Cone – “Change The Man” – It’s a skill taking the timeless themes of country songs, and twisting them up with a little bit of wordplay in a way that still feels novel. Abbey Cone and co-writer Madison Kozak do this expertly with “Change The Man.”

Vincent Neil Emerson – “The Great Highway” – A new song from Vincent Neil Emerson always comes welcomed. This one is about moving down the road, which Emerson’s done quite a bit of in the last few years. Hopefully 2026 sees Emerson moving towards releasing a new album as well.

Josh Weathers – “Gambling” – Weathers is the early leader in the clubhouse when it comes to releasing ’90s country heaters in 2026. His new album Neon Never Fades full of them, including the opening song “Gambling.”

Roc Helton – “What Ramblers Do” – Citing Tyler Childers and Jason Isbell as influences, Roc Helton is signed to Cloverdale Records and continues to put out really intriguing tracks. This is definitely a young songwriter to get on your radar.

Benjamin Tod – “Hell I Have” – The Lost Dog Street Band founder just continues to get more country, and more punchy about the state of country music, taking some opportunities in this killer track to throw some punches at the cosplay cowboys. Produced by Shooter Jennings, this is the second song the two have collaborated on together.
