“El Viejo” doesn’t just add to Corb Lund’s musical legacy. In many ways, it closes a circle and begins a new era. He may not be “viejo” himself, but they grey hairs are moving in, and he’s now the one many Western singers look up to.
Just like the crisp Canadian air pouring across the border and signaling the onset of fall, word has come down from Alberta that Corb Lund has a new album on the way called “El Viejo.”
Cowboy & Western revivalist, and Canadian-based baritone singer Colter Wall is getting ready to release a new album. Apparently RCA Records came a-calling, and have partnered with Colter.
As we look back on 2022 and before we look forward to 2023, it’s important we take the time to pay tribute to the important individuals in country music who left us over the last year, and who left a mark on the country and roots music world that will never fade. 2022 saw some absolute titans of the music leave us.

A collection of a couple of new songs is headed your way September 27th in the form of ‘Colter Wall and the Scary Prairie Boys.’
If you’re itching for some new music from Canadian country artist Corb Lund, well you’re in luck, even if this new record won’t contain any new original material … that’s coming later. But for now, Corb is preparing for the release of an album called ‘Cover Your Tracks.’
