2024 Roostertail Festival Features Roster of Surging Country Artists

The annual Roostertail Music Festival in Madison, Indiana has put together one hell of a lineup for 2024, and if you’re anywhere within a reasonable distance on July 5th or 6th or even if you’re not, you might want to figure out how to make your way there.
The 2024 lineup is a who’s who of surging country music talent, including 49 Winchester, Wyatt Flores, Silverada (fmr. Mike and the Moonpies), Stephen Wilson Jr., Erin Viancourt, Taylor Hunnicutt, and Ritch Henderson. Add massive headliner in Southern rock gods Blackberry Smoke, along with bluegrass marvel Michael Cleveland and his band Flamekeeper, and you have one of the hottest lineups of 2024 that also doesn’t require trying to see 40 bands in two days at a megafest.
“Really excited for Roostertail this year. We really focused on having an extra deep lineup from start to finish while also adding late night sets to keep the party going,” says Brent Turner, organizer of the event.
Hot Brown Smackdown and Isaac Rudd and The Revolvers are set this year to offer afterparty entertainment into the night.
Roostertail takes place at Bicentennial Park along the Ohio River in Madison. It’s part of the greater Madison Regatta, which hosts the Indiana Governor’s Cup with two of the fastest boat associations, H1 Unlimited and Grand Prix America (GPA).
The Roostertail Music Festival is also one of the most affordable festivals out there with tickets starting at $50. VIP upgrades and other perks are also available. To snag some tickets, CLICK HERE.

This is a killer lineup.

Meanwhile our local festival next month is led by Thomas Rhett, Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Parmalee.
An ever-so-slight difference in quality, that.

I guess they didn’t get the memo about Silverada…

I’m not generally big on festivals due to the short set times. But each year I generally make one exception, and this year the exception has me going to Madison Indiana. Appreciate the heads up.

So danged glad you are covering this festival. I’m very much looking forward to it. Should be great.

Looked at this when it was announced because that lineup is just incredible. The problem is lodging. There’s no place to stay unless you have access to a camper or RV.
Since Trig mentioned Isaac Rudd – check out his new single he dropped on Valentine’s Day with his wife, Christine Kindred, called “Harmony.” Their voices complement each other beautifully. It’s so damn good. Very worthy of being added to the SMC Top 25 playlist on the next update…..hint, hint

Thanks for bringing back Recent Comments. So what are your feelings about Ritch Henderson?
February 15, 2024 @ 5:29 pm
I like Ritch Henderson. Have never seen him live, but enjoyed his recent album. He was, however, pretty rude to myself, No Depressions, and some other outlets recently. I tried to reach out to him and good faith and he basically told me to go fuck myself, so it seems like he’s from the Jason Isbell school of Twitter. But I won’t hold that against his music.

Ya know Trig. , Take this guy and forget about him . No need to ask twice. I thoughthis music is mediocre at best. But if you want to play good American Music you better change your Tude . I guess I was spoiled growing up in the Charlie Daniels Era where you treated your fans like your family. cause here in American Music once we said hi after a show and got a picture n handshake them folks were there for the rest of your career. I think someone needs some lessons from Ole Charlie. Damn I wish he were still here so we could find the humor when the spelled this dudes name wrong on his birth certificate. I see a long period b4 Ritch sees the Saving Country Music’s Playlist. Oh and Trig. Once again a inside story. I was in NYC with Charlie and they headlined n DBT was the opener. I shit you not, Charlie spot on after meeting the band after their set to say hi and I quote” If that one boy keeps up being a a hole this band won’t ever make n it. He later become a fan after JI left. Country music isn’t for Dorchester. Nuff said !!! I still love my daddy’s country.

Sorry to hear that about Henderson but I’m real happy you reinstated the like button. I’m ashamed to admit it but I felt lost without them 🙂

Glad to see Roostertail get back on its feet after a rough couple years after the pandemic. I can’t remember what their 2020 lineup was scheduled to be completely but it was killer, with Shane Smith closing Friday night and Flatland Cavalry on in the middle of the day Saturday. Really excited Brent has been able to put something together like this.
