2026 Buckeye Country Superfest Boasts Killer Linuep, Gives Fans Whiplash

The love/hate relationship independent country and mainstream country fans continue to have for the massive Buckeye Country Superfest stadium show in Columbus, Ohio continues. In 2026, it’s the more independent country and roots fans that are receiving the gift, with mainstream fans now scratching their heads.

The event started out as a mostly mainstream production that maybe had one or two more independent acts on the undercard. But then in 2024 they blew everyone’s socks off when they booked Zach Bryan, Billy Strings, the Turnpike Troubadours, Charley Crockett, Charles Wesley Godwin, and Levi Turner all to play on the same bill. To be able to book a stadium show with artists you can’t listen to on the radio seemed like a watershed moment for where country music was headed.

But then in 2025, fans of the event were thrown completely for a loop when Jelly Roll and Kane Brown were announced as the headliners, and the undercard included Megan Moroney, the terrible Dasha, and Connor Smith.

Well Buckeye Country Superfest has now announced their 2026 lineup for June 13th, and once again it’s reverting back to the best in independent country. Tyler Childers, The Red Clay Strays, Sierra Ferrell, Lord Huron, Flatland Cavalry, and Kaitlin Butts are all slated to perform. Yes, it’s a pretty eye-popping, once-in-a-lifetime lineup, similar to 2024.

Could this mean that independent country is outselling mainstream country? Does it mean that this massive, national-impacting event will switch back and forth between mainstream and independent each year? The 8-ball is coming up “It’s hard to determine.” But for folks in Ohio and beyond who actually know their head from their ass when it comes to good music, they will at least have a something to look forward to in 2026.

And if attending a massive stadium show is just not for you, the Laurel Cove Music Festival has confirmed their dates for 2026 will be June 11th-13th, so that will be a more healthy alternative for folks who like to take their music in via a more intimate setting.
