Gruene Hall Unveils Loaded Lineup for New “Still Rammin’ Fest”

This is one of the best one-day lineups you’ll see in country and roots music all year, and in one of the greatest places to experience music. It’s called “Still Ramblin’ Fest,” and it’s all set to transpire at Gruene Hall on Sunday, May 17th. Even better, proceeds are going to support the SIMS Foundation, which is the Austin-based organization that helps deliver mental health resources to musicians.

The cause is a good one, and the location is perfect. But really, it’s the lineup that has you stopping down, checking your calendar, and trying to figure out how you can pull of making it to Gruene in mid May.

Vincent Neil Emerson, Jesse Daniel, Emily Nenni, Kolton Moore and the Clever Few, Logan Ryan Band, Shelby Stone, Dalton Domino, Lance Roark, Summer Dean, and Coleman Jennings are all scheduled to perform. And you’re not just seeing all of these big names of independent country. You’re seeing them at the greatest, most legendary Texas dancehall in the world.

Originally built in 1878, Gruene Hall is one of the shrines of country music, right up there with the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa. It is the oldest continually operating dance hall in Texas.

Interestingly, they also just announced that they will be adding a new cooling system to the Hall that is “carefully designed, preservation-focused upgrade,” and was even approved by the Texas Historical Commission, making summer events that much more bearable. “This ensures that guests and performers can continue to enjoy the Hall comfortably without compromising the authenticity they love,” says Gruene’s Trey Jackson.

For 30 years, SIMS Foundation has provided mental health care services to more than 25,000 members of Austin’s music industry, supporting close to 300,000 sessions of support and investing $50M into the emotional wellbeing of the Austin music community.
