Alison Krauss & Willie Nelson Announce Co-Headlining Tour + More Krauss Dates
Legendary bluegrass fiddle player and singer Alison Krauss and country legend Willie Nelson have just announced a 17-date co-headlining tour for 2018 to go along with Willie’s already announced Outlaw Fest dates and annual 4th of July Picnic this summer, while a much more extensive touring schedule has been announced for Krauss who will play a total of 50 dates between May and September.
The dates will give Alison Krauss fans ample opportunities to catch her live as she tours behind her 2017 release Windy City—her first record apart from her backing back Union Station in years. Meanwhile Willie is not slowing down at 84-years-old, and will be releasing his latest album Last Man Standing on April 27th.
Tickets for most of the dates go on sale Friday, April 6th, at 10:00 a.m. local time. The Alison Krauss Pittsburgh date goes on sale April 13th, Selbyville goes on sale April 16th, and South Bend on April 20th.

I’ve seen Alison Krauss in concert twice and fell asleep both times – Voice of an Angel.

Where did you see that she was added to the 4th of July Picnic? I couldn’t find any info on that.
April 2, 2018 @ 6:54 pm
Alison Krauss is not on the 4th of July lineup at the moment. I was saying the Willie dates are on top of already announced dates for Outlaw Fest and the 4th of July Picnic. I didn’t want folks to overlook those dates, but since they had already been announced, I didn’t include them.

Ah. Thank you, sir, for the clarification. I misread that. Still looking forward to the picnic!

I have seen Alison Krauss in concert. She is so incredible. Her voice is heavenly live.

Incredible voice and VERY easy on the eyes. She’s got it all.

Her “River In the Rain” off “Windy City” is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard.

YES
April 4, 2018 @ 8:06 am
Did I die and go to heaven?

Trig do you think there is a chance of a Windy City review? I understand you get swamped with record reviews, just wondering if there was any possibility.
April 4, 2018 @ 10:08 pm
At this point it will be difficult to review any release from 2017 with all the 2018 stuff coming hard and heavy. But I never rule out covering anything. It’s still on the radar.
