It can’t be overstated how instrumental the five seasons of the Paramount series Yellowstone have been to putting country performers regularly ignored by mainstream country radio on the road to stardom. As the series became the most popular show on TV, the popularity of many of the performers featured on the show surged as well.
After a two-year hiatus, Season 5, Part Two of Yellowstone has finally returned for five episodes, and you can expect a lot of important song placements in the Taylor Sheridan-directed show. You also can’t rule out physical appearances by performers, beyond the cast members of Ryan Bingham, Lainey Wilson, and Luke Grimes who’s launched his own country career.
Each week as the songs are featured, we’ll keep a record of them here, and hope for a Season 6, if for not other reason than it will give more opportunities to deserving country artists.

Should have had Kinky Friedman’s cover of My Shits Fucked Up for the KC appearance.

I was going to agree because there’s never not a good time for that Kinky song but then I saw your name and now I just want to hear the Charlie Robison song on repeat.

During the show, I guessed the second song was Luke Grimes. But you would what Flatland Calvary would sound like more than me.
I haven’t watched it yet, but it sounds like Sheridan’s new show ‘Landman’ is getting all the music attention. The first episode (per 49 Winchester post) had Turnpike Troubadours, 49 Winchester, Treaty Oak Revival (2x), Vincent Neil Emerson, Tanner Usrey, … a lot of red dirt opportunities.
I have to purchase Paramount+ soon.

Yes, in September when I saw Andrea von Foerster speak at AmericanaFest, she said Landman would have 2 to 3-times the song placements of Yellowstone. The reviews have been mixed so far.

Yeah, Flatland made a post on Instagram noting that a new song would debut during Sunday’s episode. I’m guessing that it’s called ‘Home Steady’ and will likely get a proper released sooner than later.

Can anyone tell me what this song is “the cowboys were here, one day they’re gone, nothing left but an airport, sleeping on the graves of Indian bones”. It’s in episode 9, Season 5 but I can’t find it on the tracklist. Thanks.
