Blackberry Smoke Announce New Dates for “Find A Light” Tour
I don’t give a damn who you voted for, if Blackberry Smoke is rolling through your town, pony up for a baby sitter, save up a sick day from work, and get your ass to the venue. The Southern rocks gods have just released the dates for the second leg of their “Find a Light” tour, named for their latest record released in April that went #1 in pure album sales in country once again.
After finishing up their current leg that includes a trip to the United Kingdom, a shot up to the Northeast, and a show in their native Atlanta, Blackberry Smoke will be heading out January 24th starting in Oxford, Mississippi, then swing through Texas, and spend a healthy dose out on the West Coast before heading back east and finishing the leg at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Along for the ride will be Chris Shiflett for certain dates, the Quaker City Night Hawks for others, as well as Nikki Lane.
Along with the new studio album Find A Light, Blackberry Smoke also just recently released a companion EP called The Southern Ground Sessions, featuring acoustic versions of some of the songs from Find A Light, as well as collaborations with Amanda Shires and Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers.

Cool. A new venue not super far to check out.
BBS is just a band you can go see anytime and have a great time.
I’ve never seen a bad show.
Tickets are always reasonable..
He is one underrated guitar player.

Saw them on Saturday in Glasgow absolute belter of a show.I think they did more songs from their classic Whippporwill album than Find A Light but it was a pleasing setlist and a great high energy show with a couple of nice surprises. The packed audience was blown away

It’s bizarre to me they play so many theaters. I want to see them live sooo bad, but won’t go to a seated theater and get shout at to “sit down!’ the whole show.

Kind of a bummer there is only one upper-midwest dates (South Dakota). Would love to see them swing through Minnesota, Iowa, or Wisconsin. Maybe some other time.

I have seen them live almost a dozen times, and have never seen a bad – or even subpar – show. If you have a chance to see them, GO!!
Had the pleasure to see them in NYC the first weekend of September – two concerts plus an acoustic afternoon performance, all for $100/person. They seem to enjoy the intimacy offered by smaller venues, and its not uncommon to see them mingling with fans before or after the show. Hands down, THE BEST value in terms of concerts today. BTW, during the 3 show weekend in NYC, I think only 6 or 7 songs were played more than once.

I have had the pleasure off being a fan of BBS for several years now. BBS has almost single handedly brought back TRUE SOUTHERN ROCK to mainstream media. I love it when one of their songs is played on the radio! Keep up the fantastic job you are doing and hopefully I will see you in Nashville at the Ryman!
