Chris Stapleton Reveals New Tour Dates, 2026 Openers
Chris Stapleton isn’t riding off into the sunset anytime soon, and he also doesn’t appear to be taking a step down from an arena/stadium level. If anything, he’s looking to step up his game in 2026, announcing a slew of new tour dates in arenas and stadiums later this year.
There was some early indication that Stapleton’s long-running “All-American Roadshow” might be taking a more measured approach in 2026. For January and February, they booked multiple stints in casinos across the United States like Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL, and the WinStar in Oklahoma.
Then we also saw that big independent country festivals were booking Stapleton as a headliner, namely the Two Step Inn in Texas April 19th, and Under The Big Sky Fest in Montana on July 19th. Did that mean they thought Stapleton no longer had the gas to fill arenas? After all, we’re now a decade removed from him blowing up via Traveller and “Tennessee Whiskey.”
But all of those casino dates sold out, and many featuring back-to-back nights. Tickets to those festivals have been a hot commodity too. So lo and behold, Stapleton is playing arenas and stadiums this year, and taking some interesting names with him along for the ride to help fill seats.
Opening select dates for Stapleton include Zach Top, Lainey Wilson, Molly Tuttle, Grace Potter, Allen Stone, Nikki Lane, Carter Faith, Ashley McBryde, Maggie Rose, The Teskey Brothers, and Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs.
Tickets go on sale Friday, January 16 at 10:00am local time. Stapleton’s fan club will have early access to tickets with pre-sale starting Tuesday, January 13 at 10:00am local time until Thursday, January 15 at 10:00pm local time at chrisstapleton.com/tour.

Those are some serious venues he’s going to be trying to fill, and I wouldn’t bet against him doing it. Not everything Chris’ label sends to radio gets to the top of the chart, but his following is huge and still growing. I wonder if he’s got a new album planned for this summer.

Yes, I’m sure we can have an objective, nuanced discussion about “Bad News” now that we actually have the full song. But of course, so much has happened even since October that folks can’t even remember it was such a big controversy, White House officials were responding.

As far as Bad News, I heard it once, need to hear it a few more times and read the lyrics to better understand his message but on first listen it sounds like hes not cheering where we are right now as a society, which will be controversial in and of itself

It’s not the same font, and it’s most definitely not the same color. Though I’m sure three people online will say it is, and then outlets will quote them writing a story about it and dust up some nontroversy for clicks.

Seven different female openers and all stellar. Good on Chris. Now if anyone reading this knows Stapleton or his people – please pass along the following suggestion. For the shows with Grace Potter I am suggesting a duet of “I’m Losing You” by The Faces. If there’s any female singer out there that could hold their own with Stapleton on a rocker like that it’s Ms. Potter.

Casinos must be paying. They used to be reserved for the has-beens. I feel a concert at a casino would be too sterile (and expensive).
I really want to see Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs, so I might attempt the Virginia show.
