George Strait to Launch Ace in the Hole Radio

George Strait is getting his own SiriusXM radio channel, at least for a limited time. And for a limited time, you can listen to it for free as the satellite radio provider extends a current promotion allowing anyone to listen free of charge through their app.

Called Ace in the Hole Radio after the iconic Country Music Hall of Famer’s touring band, the channel will feature personal insights and stories from George Strait himself, along with plenty of George Strait music including his 60 #1 hits. The channel will launch May 1st at 9 a.m., and will be available on the SiriusXM app in the Country category. The app is currently free with no obligations or need for credit card until May 31st.

Other artists who will have dedicated channels as part of the promotion include David Bowie, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Guns N’ Roses, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Prince, and The Rolling Stones. They join artists with permanent SiriusXM channels such as The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, and Frank Sinatra.

“It’s like catching lightning in a bottle for SiriusXM to be able to offer authorized channels from these iconic artists, not only to our subscribers, but at a time when our app is free to everyone,” says SiriusXM president Scott Greenstein. “These channels, combined with our already incredible set of artist-dedicated channels, makes SiriusXM the ultimate audio destination to bring fans closer to the artists they love, and at a time when people can use some great music.”

Anyone who is not already a SiriusXM subscriber can download the SiriusXM app or go to SiriusXM.com/streamfree, and start listening free of charge. The SiriusXM app is available on mobile phones, tablets, and computers, as well as on a wide variety of connected devices in the home including smart TVs, devices with Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant, Apple TV, PlayStation, Roku, Sonos speakers, and more.
