Jesse Daniel Announces the “Live Album Tour”

If you want the honest to goodness real deal honky tonk experience, it’s Jesse Daniel and then everybody else. He released a live album in March called My Kind of Country: Live at the Catalyst that’s a good stand-in if you can’t see him live. But if Jesse Daniel and crew are rolling through your town or any reasonable distance near it, you best pony up for the babysitter, skip out of work or school, pull the boots on, and get your butt down there.
He’s calling it the “Live Album Tour,” and it will be rolling its way all across the United States this summer, and will hit Spain, Belgium, and the United Kingdom along the way too. Recently Jesse dusted off the ol’ electric guitar, and his live shows have stepped it up even another notch if you can believe it. Hannah Juantia will open select dates as well.
Known as “The Son of the San Lorenzo,” Jesse Daniel is from the Santa Cruz area in California, and currently lives in Texas. He’s the perfect example of how someone can use country music to reform their life and character, and is regarded as one of the most real deal country artists out there with a stellar band that includes steel guitar player Caleb Melo and Daniel’s songwriting partner Jodi Lyford. Jesse Daniel recently celebrated his song “Think I’ll Stay” receiving over a million streams on Spotify.
Go see Jesse Daniel live or you’ll be kicking your own ass for missing it.

Jesse’s awesome.
Seems like if he’s doing Macon, Ga., Atlanta wouldn’t be a problem…sigh.
June 6, 2023 @ 11:05 am
I personally really enjoy traveling to Macon for shows. Got an awesome Airbnb loft booked downtown for the Pink Stones and Early James shows at Grant’s Lounge in a couple of weeks (hopefully I can squeeze in the early Jim Lauderdale concert at Capricorn studios before the Stones start their set). Also definitely looking forward to hitting up JBA bar for their killer Street Rabbit tequila cocktails.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Macon. There’s a sweet downtown area near the school. I visit the Big House every time I’m there.
I guess I selfishly prefer an hour round trip to something involving a sleepover. Ya know, in the biggest city in the South.
Whatevs.

Seems like if you’re in Atlanta and really wanted to see him, Macon wouldn’t be a problem. ????
June 6, 2023 @ 8:11 am
Hard Rock?? Does he share the same booking agency as Mike and the Moonpies?
June 6, 2023 @ 9:14 am
Great to see a local boy doing good! Go catch him if you can, you will not be disappointed!
June 6, 2023 @ 9:21 am
Getting tickets for Philadelphia show as soon as they go on sale.
June 7, 2023 @ 4:26 am
Got them last night. Looking forward to this!?

Jesse Daniel will also be in France on August 12th, as the headline artist for Equiblues festival. Equiblues is one of the two main country festivals in France (along with the festival country Craponne), with rodeo events and country music all nights during 3 days. It comes back in 2023 after a 3 years break due to Covid, and after the construction of a big saloon. We’re lucky to have such a festival in France, and hopefully I’ll be there.
June 6, 2023 @ 9:50 am
Hi Nicholas’s, can you make a post about that festival over at the r/countrymusic subreddit (there’s a direct link if you click on my username)? We have an international ‘tag’ for posts, we run an international theme every few months where we post country artists from around the world, and we have quite a few international ‘independent country’ and rockabilly music fans over in the subreddit.
A couple of years ago I tried to look into French country music stuff and didn’t find a ton. I was specifically looking for country musicians who sang in French from France at the time. Anyways, great to hear about the event!
June 6, 2023 @ 1:08 pm
Hi Stellar, that’s ok, I’ll make sure to write a post there. There are some french artists who make country music, as Theo Lawrence, for example, who released a excellent album this year. But they usually sing in English. Country music is a niche in France.
June 6, 2023 @ 1:12 pm
That’s so cool!
When I think about international country music I usually think it’s a very wide umbrella term. Some artists are singing in English and doing totally American style stuff, some of them are doing American style stuff in other languages, and sometimes you get all these interesting mixtures of American country music plus whatever folk music is local. It’s been really enjoyable seeing what people in other countries have done with American type country music. Looking forward to checking out more from france..

I got tickets to see him at our 200 cap. (music room is about 90) rock n roll club based purely on the recommendations from this site, and he was awesome. If you don’t love the studio output make sure you listen to the live record before making a decision.
June 6, 2023 @ 9:52 am
Love Jesse’s music, along with his story and journey. Looking forward Doc’s Tavern in Greenville, SC.
June 6, 2023 @ 11:31 am
How is Doc’s as a concert venue? Bigger capacity than Radio Room? Surprised and grateful to see two nights in Greenville. Doc’s website doesn’t have any events posted for September yet. Jesse has been on my list to see live since his debut.
June 6, 2023 @ 1:16 pm
I honestly haven’t made my way over to Doc’s yet. Every time there’s a show I’m interested in attending (including Channing Wilson on 06/10), I already have a prior engagement. With that being said, the pictures and clips I’ve seen of the venue via Instagram have looked nice.
June 6, 2023 @ 9:56 am
Damn that is an unforgiving tour schedule. Back and forth between US and Europe and all over the US.
Good luck Jesse! He’s awesome.
June 6, 2023 @ 12:06 pm
Got to see Jesse perform in Sacramento this past April and it was a great show. Met him afterwards and he was as nice as can be and very grateful for the support he gets as well as other independent country artists. Also met his brother who is a firefighter in the Bay Area (San Francisco I believe) which was also cool because me and his brother were the only folks at the venue wearing Merle Haggard shirts. Jesse also did some Haggard covers during his show which was awesome. He made a comment before one of Merle’s songs that Ben Haggard might show up later that night which didn’t end up happening.
Trigger, any word on if/when Ben might release an album? Seems like we’ve been waiting for his debut for several years now.
June 6, 2023 @ 12:43 pm
Saw him last year, his recorded music does not do justice to the show that he puts on. Looks like he’s getting no closer than a 7-hour drive on this tour, probably won’t make it.
June 6, 2023 @ 1:50 pm
Just bought my ticket for the Louisville show. It will make for a good Wednesday evening in mid-July!!
June 6, 2023 @ 5:51 pm
Wish he would do a show in the western part of Kansas somewhere. I missed him when he was in Kearney, NE. Denver is fairly close but I don’t enjoy driving in cities. Great artist!
June 7, 2023 @ 7:54 am
Probably a little late if those posters are already printed, but 8/15 is listed as London, FR.
Regardless, interesting to see that he moved from Hi-Dive to Cervantes in Denver, about 130 person bigger venue
June 7, 2023 @ 3:18 pm
Saw them in Lubbock a few weeks ago, great show , top quality muscianship and overall just a real fun time.
Get out and see them, you wont regret it!
June 7, 2023 @ 6:26 pm
This guy puts on a killer show. Throws in a lot of country covers and doesn’t just paint-by-numbers the songs from the albums. Plenty of surprises and a STELLAR band. I would say his show is a “don’t-miss”.
June 9, 2023 @ 9:20 am
Hi. I’ll see Jesse in Riaza, in July the 14th. I read there was a also a performance in Barcelona 2 days before. I’ve contacted with the venue, La Textil, but they told me that this concert was cancelled. I wonder if there is another place in Barcelona to see him?. Thanks for helping me.
June 12, 2023 @ 11:00 am
Thank you for this readership reminder, Trig. Saw him for the second time recently and you’re exactly right. Thank you for giving credit where it’s due. It’s unbelievable the honky tonk energy he and this band bring to folks and they just keep getting better. Not only are they the hardest working musicians in Texas and beyond, but the level of grace and kindness Jesse (and company) consistently shows to his fans is extraordinary beyond belief. FOREVER FAN!
July 17, 2023 @ 7:53 am
Saw Jesse and his band last week in Spain, i’m still amazed by how FUN the show was.
