There are a lot of huge tours out there this summer in country music, selling out theaters and arenas. There’s a bunch of big festivals too with mammoth lineups stretching out over multiple days. But if the musical experience you most cherish is being in a honky tonk, listening to honky-tonk music, with a bunch of fellow honky-tonkers, seeing a guy or gal that probably should be on a stage two or three times larger, and charging much more for tickets, the Jesse Daniel experience is the perfect fit for you.
This young man and his band are absolutely killing it at the moment, and offering one of the best live experiences in independent country music, and doing so in local venues at an affordable price. He’s hitting the road hard and heavy this summer, and some of these dates include excellent collaborators such as Gabe Lee and Summer Dean, while Daniel will also be opening shows for American Aquarium for multiple dates come September.
Jesse Daniel will also be making appearances at the Jackalope Jamboree in late June, the Hinterland Festival in early August, and AmericanaFest in September.
Calling this tour “My Kind of Country” says it all. If you’re looking for country music in the live context and the way it was meant to be seen and heard, this will be right down your alley. And if you haven’t heard his music yet and want to know what he’s all about, you can check out his 2021 album Beyond These Walls.

He and his band are killing it. I saw them for 10 bucks at the broken spoke. It was killer. Go see them if you get a chance! He is very down to earth and did photos/autographs that night. Cool dude and cool band!
Playing SPACE in Evanston here……..not exactly a Country venue or honky tonk. I saw Sierra Ferrell there it’s very intimate little venue. Looking forward to seeing Jesse & American Aquarium. Any day I don’t have to go into the city to see quality is a great day in my book.
I’ve been reading your website for years, listening to your Spotify list regularly to find some great new artists and music and attending shows near our home in California based on your and your readers recommendations. A few months ago, we bought tickets to 2 Jesse Daniel shows on the West Coast tour since we weren’t sure what show we could make. We ended up going to both shows, 2 nights in a row, in the middle of the work week (we’re old,so, it was rough). We’re going to see him again on this leg of the tour before he hits the big time. I also highly recommend his great country show. For those of you who have seen Charley Crockett live, Jesse is the real deal. He brings it.
Jesse put on a great show here last night opening for AA. Just him and his pedal steel guy playing an opening set for his first time in our area. Ran through a few off the current album including one of my favs “Gray” and played a Luke Bell song in tribute as well. The 21 yr old kid is a real good pedal steel player!! Chatted with both of them, nice guys, happy to be here. Crowd loved em!! Told him can’t wait for a full band show in the future. I always enjoy when I introduce myself to the artists on here we love and I get a smile in recognition. A real good time was had by all.

Is there any chance that Jesse might come to Europe, or would his previous criminal history make that difficult?

Shouldn’t be a problem.

Also skipping the Northeast entirely. Eh, that’s the way the cookie crumbles, I guess. This is one I’d go out of my way to see.
