Mile 0 Fest Key West Announces Initial 2020 Lineup
Mile 0 Fest set to transpire in Key West, Florida January 28th through February 1st has just announced their initial 2020 lineup. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit lead the list of headliners along with the Randy Rogers Band, Robert Earl Keen, and Whiskey Myers. 36 other names from the Texas Music/Red Dirt/Americana realm have also been announced in the first wave of festival performers.
Unlike many other festivals, Mile 0 Fest offers unique listening experiences by taking over many of the music venues in Key West throughout the week for one-of-a-kind performances and collaborations. Attendees take in performances at places such as the Southermost Point in the United States, or Key West’s legendary Sunset Pier, or other island landmarks such as the Smokin’ Tuna and Durty Harry’s. Then every afternoon and evening the crowd gathers at the Truman Waterfront Amphitheater for main stage performances. Many performers play multiple times during the week, and the amount of tickets sold are capped to ensure everyone can see the main stage performances.
Along with numerous returning performers such as Wade Bowen, Jack Ingram, the “Queen of Mile 0 Fest” Jamie Lin Wilson, and Saving Country Music’s reigning “Best Live Act” Mike & The Moonpies, newcomers to the festival for 2020 include Hayes Carll, The Steel Woods, Cory Morrow, Will Hoge, Brent Cobb, Senora May, John Baumann, Kelly Willis, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, and Charley Crockett. Charley was scheduled to perform in 2019, but had to cancel due to health concerns.
Packages include fully curated opportunities with lodging, or you can buy tickets and figure out accommodations on your own. It’s not the festival experience for everyone since Key West is hard to get to and expensive to stay in, but it is one of the most enjoyable and well-curated music events in all of country and roots music. For more of what you can expect, you can read Saving Country Music’s 2019 recap.
This is just the first wave of performers, with many more to be announced. Along with the big names and headliners, Mile 0 Fest also offers numerous opportunities for musical discovery, giving performance slots to songwriters and up-and-comers. Packages go on sale July 15th. For more information, visit www.mile0fest.com .

I like a lot of these artists/bands, but i’m not wild about any of ’em, personally.
July 4, 2019 @ 8:40 am
Wow, cool lineup. I’m going to try to make it this year.
July 4, 2019 @ 11:45 am
Wow what a line up.Possibly the best all round festival line up I’ve ever seen.
July 5, 2019 @ 5:59 am
Reservations made! Can’t wait! Now just have figure how to get ‘round to see all that talent. What a line up!
Sunny Beach! Doesn’t get much better baby!
July 4, 2019 @ 12:38 pm
“Key Texas” IDK, doesn’t move the needle for me.
July 4, 2019 @ 12:47 pm
Hopefully Cody Jinks gets added to the list, and selfishly, I’d like to see the Kings of red dirt added to the list, but even if everything is going well, it might be too early for that.
July 5, 2019 @ 7:23 pm
Just thinking like a businessman, which is hard to do when it comes to music, there’s no reason to have Cody AND Isbell.
Cody will be back and will f*&king crush it just like he did in Year 1. Hope he brings Sunny and Ward with him.
July 8, 2019 @ 6:18 am
No one from Cody’s management group is on the bill, which is a shame. They were there in force the first year but haven’t been back. I think it would be a great opportunity for someone like their newly signed Charles Wesley Godwin.
July 4, 2019 @ 3:32 pm
Excellent line up! Going to be some tough calls on the satellite shows.
July 4, 2019 @ 6:16 pm
I will be there for the third year in a row. Jamie Lin Wilson alone would be worth it. Great music and get out of the Wisco winter!
July 4, 2019 @ 6:51 pm
Holy. Shit.
July 5, 2019 @ 6:27 am
Really stuck between financial responsibility and “YOLO” right now.
July 5, 2019 @ 1:59 pm
Thanks for the information, I did not realize they offer lodging options in their packages. Key West is tiny, lodging, and transportation can be a literal nightmare.
Though the lineup is good, I would love to see the Vandoliers added, and more Red Dirt/Okie artists like the Damn Quails, Jake Flint, and RC and the Ambers, if TT isn’t back together by
then.. ): We’ll see what the second wave of announcements bring.
July 5, 2019 @ 7:17 pm
We literally park our car on Tuesday afternoon and move it again on Sunday morning.
Get a place that is walking distance to the Duval bars and you’ll be good.
We live in Atlanta so you get to see a lot of these folks kind of regularly and we don’t.
This lineup is easily 70% of my current rotation.
And Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis album is killer. I’ll be following them all around the island.
July 5, 2019 @ 9:06 pm
Thanks for the tip, much appreciated.
July 5, 2019 @ 3:10 pm
They should offer a half day pass for the folks on the outlaw country cruise which will be in port during the festival…hint hint.
July 5, 2019 @ 7:18 pm
If we get an Elizabeth Cook set on the Main Stage.
July 8, 2019 @ 6:27 am
I see some folks have been at it on Twitter complaining that there are not enough women on the bill. I know the folks at Mile 0 put on a good show, but Brandi Carlile’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and the Outlaw Cruise are all at the same time. A lot of the female talent is already performing at these events, especially the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” fest. I think they are really barking up the wrong tree. Maybe the story here is why are all three of these events are the exact same time.

I posted about this last year. I may have to do something again here this year, though it’s basically trading on the same tracks. People need to stop giving credence to these trolls.

Trigger, I agree with you. I guess I was just hoping the whole Internet read your article so we wouldn’t have the retread this year.

Go to A&M and rent a bike. We ubered from the airport to the condo (which came with bikes) and then rented a tandem at A&M. My husband biked me around all week, even to the big grocery store (Publix or Winn Dixie). Bring some extra flashing lights to attach (beyond the two that A&M gives you) and you can bike even at night. Like to the main venue and then home. There’s lots of bike parking across the street from the big venue. It was our first time in Key West last year. The VRBO guy we rented the condo from said he had no designated parking but we could park on the street. We inferred that to mean that parking is HARD to come by so we chose to bike. It was a GREAT decision. Well, so long as it doesn’t rain, which it did not last year.
July 10, 2019 @ 2:39 am
I live in South Florida, about a three hour drive from the lower keys. I can tell you that rain is unlikely that time of year, and if you do get some, it will pass quick.
July 17, 2019 @ 12:14 pm
Thank you! That’s great to know as we are attending again this year. The folks at A&M Bike are very nice and if you arrive at the airport during certain of their working hours they will even pick you up, or so I read.

Maybe some time my niece Molly Tuttle could play for a festival. Her grandmother and great grandparents are buried in the old cemetery there. Molly’s mom, aunties, and uncles visit there each year and wish we could live there. Her song, “Million Miles” is our Key West song.
October 7, 2019 @ 2:29 pm
Would love to see Colter Wall on the stage!
