New Adds to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 Current Playlist (#177)

“ToDaYS cOUnTrY MusIC sUCKs!” Nah, not at all. You just need to get clued into all the great stuff out there just screaming to be heard from artists with heart, soul, integrity, and a true desire to keep the roots alive.

The Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist is built to keep you informed on all the best songs and albums coming out right here, right now in country and roots music. It’s available on most all streaming formats (see below), or you can just use the song, artist, and album recommendations to find something new to listen to.

Newest Additions:

Chasen Wayne – “Morning Light”
– Chasen Wayne and his band don’t just record songs. They recorded musical experiences that allow you to get lost and immersed in the music like few if any other. That’s the experience of “Morning Light.”

Kevin Carducci – “No Roots” – Kevin Carducci sought to capture the Bakersfield sound in his new album Easy Does It, and does so deftly in “No Roots.” It’s how every detail is done so well down to the tinkly little piano parts, and how his voice evokes notions of Dwight Yoakam.

Vincent Neil Emerson – “Chippin’ At The Stone” – This song is the gem of Vincent Neil Emerson’s new album Blue Stars, and might emerge as one of the best songs of his career. Well-written and cerebral, but immensely enjoyable via the melody, it will have you re-racking it over and over.

Rachel Brooke – “This One’s For You” – A song that illustrates how Rachel Brooks is the female version of Hank Williams, and captures her telling AI to kiss her ass? Yes and yes. It’s the title track from Rachel Brooke’s new album out now.

Ian Noe – “Jukebox Blues (For Blaze Foley)” – The elusive Ian Noe from Kentucky illustrates why his relative absence only makes the heart grow fonder. This stripped-down song personifying a jukebox burrows to your soul, and does give you notions of the great Blaze.

Ben Jarrell – “Dreamers” – Ben Jarrell really leans into the Outlaw influence on his new album Tennessee Turnaround as can be heard in “Dreamers.” But it’s also smartly-written, and figures out how to take a dreamy approach to the Outlaw sound.
