Newest Additions to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 Current Playlist (#11)
2017 continues to make a great case for itself as a bumper crop year for songs and albums, and recent additions to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 playlist reflect that. Just added to the stable of the best country songs are Alan Jackson‘s surprise new single “The Older I Get” from a yet named new album, Ashley McBryde‘s “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega,” which was recently sent to mainstream country radio, as well as the very promising debut single “Old Songs Like That” from Dillon Carmichael—a 23-year-old traditionalist who is currently working with Dave Cobb on a debut album.
Also gracing the Top 25 is a selection from Lee Ann Womack‘s new album The Lonely, The Lonesome & the Gone called “Bottom of the Barrel.” The Turnpike Troubadours‘ place on the playlist has been freshened now that their new album A Long Way From Your Heart has been released. Many fans are finding favor with the song “A Tornado Warning,” so it replaces “That Old Time Feeling (Like Before)” which graced the playlist for multiple weeks. And also making a debut is California singing duo Mapache‘s song “Chico River.”
The Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist primarily lives on Spotify, but is also available for those who use Google Play. We’ll continue to try and add formats for the Top 25 Playlist for those non Spotify users as it becomes feasible. For those who use neither, you can still find the song recommendations in list form below.

Tornado Warning’s my favorite song off that TT album right now! My favorite’s been changing every couple times through though. Definitely one song I liked at first, but absolutely love after a few listens.

“A Tornado Warning” is probably my favorite song off the album.
Incredible stuff. Should be a radio hit in a fair world.

Where’s that new Midland song “How Country I Am”?
Just kidding. Great stuff, as always. Actually about 6 of new Turnpike tunes could be on this list.

How bout adding Charley Pride’s song “Your Still In these Crazy Arms of mine” from his new CD? It’s a great song.
