Tami Neilson – “Any Fool With a Heart” – Tami Neilson is a modern-day musical treasure, and she evokes memories of Patsy Cline with this original classic country tune recorded with her brother Jay Neilson on harmonies. Her new album CHICKABOOM! is due out Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2020.
Mikele Buck Band – “In Came You” – The Mikele Buck Band from Greenville, North Carolina is most known for their more contemporary-style country songs with traditional instrumentation, but this one is a super classic throwback number with great songwriting and the perfect tone on the steel guitar.
The Rhyolite Sound – “On Stolen Time” – From Las Vegas, this local band turned national honky tonk heroes just released a new record called Mojave Gold that is definitely worth checking out.
Dori Freeman – “2 Step” – The combination of Dori Freeman and producer Teddy Tompson has resulted in some really excellent music over the past few years, but “2 Step” is the first time they sing together duet style. Great little country tune.
Kelsey Waldon – “Kentucky, 1988” – Waldon’s spot on the playlist is refreshed with one of the standouts from her recent album White Noise/White Lines called “Kentucky, 1988.” It’s one of the most personal tracks on the record.
