Outlaw Radio & Muddy Roots for Mother’s Day
In just about a month from now, two of the biggest, most important events ever to happen in the insurgent country scene will be going down. The first is the Muddy Roots Festival happening the 28th-30th just outside of Nashville. They just released the schedule last week, and with headliners Billy Joe Shaver and Wayne “The Train” Hancock, this is a can’t miss if you’re able to make it out there.
And for Mother’s Day, Muddy Roots has announced if you purchase a ticket today, you get a free T Shirt! (purchase tickets HERE.)
And right as Muddy Roots wraps up Outlaw Radio Chicago will be releasing their compilation album on June 1st. Quite a few bands that are going to be at Muddy Roots will also be on the compilation, bands like Pearls Mahone & The OneEyed Jacks,The Goddamn Gallows, and Dave Smith & The Country Rebels, so if you can’t make it to the Festival, think of this as the Muddy Roots home game.
Copies of the Outlaw Radio Compilation can be pre-ordered by CLICKING HERE. They are only $9 and but the price will go up on June 1st, so get em while they’re cheap!
All the songs on the compilation are previously unreleased tracks, so this is the only place you can get this music. 19 tracks. 19 TRACKS! All new songs from your favorite bands! (See a list below).
Jashie P of Outlaw Radio Chicago and Jason 3.14 of Muddy Roots are true champions of the music and have spent tons of their own time and money to get the music out to the masses, and they deserve as much appreciation and support for everything they do for the music we love!

I’m trying to forget that I pre-ordered it so when it shows up in my mailbox, it will be an extra-special treat.

Wish we could have been on this..

I’m sure there will be a Volume 2. Let’s hope, because this is a great idea. He literally put as many tracks as will fit on a CD, so unfortunately he had to draw a line at submissions somewhere.

When will you be shipping the cds out? I ordered mine a few days ago.
May 13, 2010 @ 7:28 am
I’ll see if I can find out. I know Jashie P got them from the press yesterday, but there may be some more work to do before he can send them out. The official release date is June 1.

Will they ship early if you preorder, or on the release date? Also are you going to post a track listing?
May 13, 2010 @ 6:12 pm
Just talked to Jashie. The pre-orders have already been sent out, and will be arriving in a matter of days. The official release date is now May 25th because he got them earlier than expected. If you order one now it will be $9. At some point the price will go up to $11.
As soon as I get mine I will post the artwork and track list, as well as a review.

Mine arrived in the mail today! Just put it in and listening now. All plugging aside, it really is a hell of a deal, only 9 bucks for 22 tracks, each by a different artist. FUCK YEAH.
Thanks JashieP!

We’re actually not on Vol. 1, but we’ll definitely be on Vol. 2! Catch us at Muddy Roots Music Festival this coming weekend!

Yeah, I was wondering where you were when I got my copy. I guess that’s part of he genius when Jashie called it Vol. 1. Now there’s an expectation for more.
