Is Country Music Dead?
15 CommentsI normally try to answer questions here not ask them, and you’d think that after running a website called “Saving Country Music” for as long as I have I would have asked this question before. And I’m not asking this question rhetorically either. I really want to know, is country music dead? I began to […]

I was happy to hear this, because when […]
Album Review – A Bitter Harvest
4 Comments(A Bitter Harvest is a collaboration between Rachel Brooke and Lonesome Wyatt of Those Poor Bastards. As the release date approached for this album, I began to worry that maybe my expectations were too high, and I was possibly hyping it to the point where it could only be a letdown. But what made this […]
New Horton Heat Includes Hank III & Shack Shakers
1 CommentWe don’t talk nearly enough about The Reverend Horton Heat around here, but since it’s been about five years since he released an album, there hasn’t been much reason to. But the Rev. has a new project coming out on September 1st, Laughin’ and Cryin’, and the “Deluxe” version of this album will include a […]

Audio Interview w/ James Hunnicutt
0 CommentsIf you do not know who James Hunnicutt is, then you need to take care of that. This is one of the premier guitar pickers out there, and a good singer/songwriter in his own right. You might remember talking about him in my review of the Wayne Hancock show last week. He is out on […]
Stock Rising For Lucky Tubb & Joey Allcorn
3 CommentsLike him or not, Hank Williams III has one of the most rabid and loyal fan bases out there, and that is why the opening act on a Hank III tour is such a coveted position. But landing it doesn’t guarantee you anything. I remember back in ’07 when Jim Goad, author of the The […]
