Pair of Annual Golf Tourneys Aim to Help Kids Through Country Music
Country music celebrities will be coming out swinging in the coming weeks at a couple of annual charitable golf tournaments who just announced their lineups. Whether you’re a golfer or not, you can participate in the music portion of these events and help out a good cause in the process.

The 8th Annual Golf & Guitars Music Festival and Children’s Charity Golf Tournament has announced the lineup and details for their May 18th and 19th event at Sacramento’s Hanging Oaks Golf Course. The event features a total of 32 country music performers and songwriters, and is expected to raise $100,000 for the Morton Golf Foundation—a charity set up to provide golf programs to promote exercise in a healthy outdoor environment, to create a recreational environment that builds lasting personal development and that seamlessly introduces life’s core values of the great game of golf to the youth, disabled and underserved communities in the Sacramento, CA region. 100% of the net proceeds go to charity.

The 17th Annual Wade Bowen Classic has just announced their lineup as well. The 2-day event begins with an all-star concert on May 31st at Indian Spring Park in Bowen’s home town of Waco, TX. Bowen has raised over a million dollars for various local organizations just in the past 5 years, and this year the Bowen Family Foundation beneficiaries are Avance and the Boys and Girls Club of Waco. Jeff Kyle will also be in attendance representing the Chris Kyle Foundation. The two-man golf scramble at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course the next day is already sold out, but the concert still has tickets.
