Wow. Is that a smile on her face?
November 16, 2018 @ 1:04 pm
I saw her at The Purple Fiddle in Thomas WV in August. She seemed pretty good-humored to me. She teased the bass player during sound checks and she seemed pretty relaxed and easy-going on stage during the show. There was definitely smiling.

It’s a small world. I was at the Purple Fiddle show too. It was an awesome place to see her at. Yes, smiled and joked during the show. I talked to her for a minute after the show and she has a very friendly demeanor. Don’t let the promo shoots fool you

I missed her in Morgantown because my dog tore her ACL earlier that week (getting surgery Monday after Thanksgiving) … it’s been an awful year for missed concerts for one reason or another.

We made it to the 123 show too and had a blast. It was a decent sized crowd and just rowdy enough.

That sucks! I have an old dog with bad arthritis. The vet had mentioned she may have a torn ACL as well. After using a few different meds that never seemed to work well, we started giving her CBD oil drops formulated for dogs and I can’t believe the change. She went from not being able to walk up the stairs to now taking them two at a time. If I miss a morning of not giving her the drops, when I get back from work, she’s back to limping and not going up stairs. I never expected that to work so well. Sorry for the advertisement. I’ll purchase the Shook 7″ just to make up for taking up the comment space… also because I’ve purchased all her other records!

That’s good to know because I saw Tyler there in May and didn’t have a great time …. it was so packed and so hot and some portly dude to objection to my arm raising.

Live in same area and don’t know her personally, but
she used to tend bar at the cave, and always seemed like a genuinely nice / friendly / down to earth person, and not nearly as morose as songs + reviews would lead you to think….imo

i’m hoping she gets to memphis soon

Closest show to me is Orlando. Three hour drive each way. On a weeknight. I’m still tempted. She’s that good.

The real deal. Such a kind yet tough person and the songs are fantastic!

There goes my whole fucking evening trying to reset my iTunes password to purchase two songs.
November 23, 2018 @ 9:11 am
no shit…..I spend half my life remembering , forgetting , trying , re-trying , changing and resetting passwords with e-mail codes and questionnaires asking me to confirm my human identity by counting which of the 9 images on my screen have street lights and where I went to grade 1 , the name of my first dog or some other trivial piece of info I hardly remembered the FIRST time they asked , all of which has been changed 14 times since I first gave in to this whole online handle and password crap .Jesus I need a pill and a lie-down just to deal with the anxiety and frustration of this daily ‘jumping-through-cyber-hoops’ routine .

Just got done watching the documentary I rented on Amazon. It’s a must see for anyone on here. She fully explains the story of “The Way She Looked at You”. Great doc too, made me love all of them even more. Everyone in the band are total pros as we can hear on Years which as of right now is my album of the year. Bought my tickets for both shows here in January and yep I’ll buy the songs off iTunes too as soon as I figure that out…lol…..but only for these guys!!!
November 17, 2018 @ 9:26 am
Just bought them both on iTunes. You do not have to be a subscriber to Apple Music streaming service to purchase them. Both are great and both are explicit but hey, that’s just Sarah.
November 17, 2018 @ 11:24 am
Wow Savannah! It’s a desert here when it comes to good music. Have to drive at least 2 hours to get to anything usually. Will definitely be going.
November 17, 2018 @ 1:48 pm
Got my ticket for Ft Worth
November 18, 2018 @ 6:23 am
Love Sarah Shook. Good stuff
November 21, 2018 @ 10:32 pm
Ok I bought the 2 songs from iTunes, something I’m usually against as I NORMALLY refuse to pay for compressed music but for Sarah and the boys I did. (Like I had a choice…lol)
After 5 days….I absolutely love these 2 songs. I can’t get them out of my head!!! So fuckin real!! I put them at the end of my Years album everywhere I play it in full…..car, iPod….etc…
I’ll pay for the deluxe edition CD……..(hint hint, Bloodshot. I had no idea you’re right up the street from me) After listening and watching Sarah explain the inspiration behind the song in the video documentary it just did it for me. Can’t wait to see these songs live. 🙂
