There may not be another collection of voices more commonly featured via the recordings and live performances of country and roots artists than The McCrary Sisters—from the top reaches of mainstream commercial country, to the most revered Americana performers.
For the benefit of the Bowen Family Foundation, the Bowen MusicFest has raised over $3.25 million for charity just since 2009, and the event raised $500,000 in 2018 alone. Expanding every year since 1998 into one of the premier events in Texas and Red Dirt music, Bowen MusicFest has assembled an impressive lineup.
Mile 0 Fest taking part in Key West, Florida January 29th to February 2nd has just released it’s final lineup, expanding to a total of 68 names. With the expanded names, and with most performers playing multiple shows across the island, this will bring the sum total of performances to well over 100.
About the only thing hotter than John Prine in Americana music at the moment is the is the foreign country destination festival, so why not combine the two. And if you have a boatload of money, and/or a boat or plane to get your ass to the Dominican Republic, then you too can be part of John Prine’s inaugural “All The Best Festival.”
