The New Saving Country Music Forum !
Well you asked for it, and now you’ve got it. You can now go to forum.savingcountrymusic.com and post and chat about whatever you dern well please! You can also get your ass there by going to the website and clicking on the “Forum” button on the top gray bar.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me by spreading the word. Let anyone and everyone know that they are invited and where it is.
At this point it is a bare bones board. If it is successful, I’ll put some lipstick on it, but for now I just want to see if this puppy will fly. And if it doesn’t, I won’t be afraid to pull it. There’s is nothing more depressing than a message board with no activity. I’ve chummed the waters with a few posts, but I also don’t want to influence what kind of board it will be, I want that to be determined by the members.
PLEASE BE PATIENT if there are problems or technical difficulties. We’re just getting started so there might be some wrinkles to iron out. It is a pretty standard message board format that should be easy to use, but if you have never used one, be patient with it and learn the format.
The biggest thing is to try to keep the forum clean by making sure before you post that the topic has not already been posted about before, and making sure it is under the right topic. I kind of guessed about the different categories. If you have ideas about categories, please let me know and the sooner the better because the longer time goes on, the harder it will be to change things.
One of the reasons I have been reluctant to set up a forum in the past was I did not want to drain attention from some other great boards that are out there. But the thing that I want this board to emphasize that others don’t is PODCASTERS, BANDS, and CAUSES, so if you or your interests fall into those categories, don’t be a stranger.
Also if you SERIOUSLY want to be a monitor and you are willing to be in it for the long haul, sign up for the board and then send me a private message through the board email system. At this point I’m just looking for one or two good ones.
Lastly I want to thank my friend Dave at Aldora Solutions for helping me with this and all my web stuff. If you are a band or a business and need a website, hit him up, he’s good people.
So help me out people, and if this goes off right, this could be a huge tool in the fight to Save Country Music and promote REAL country music. If message boards are not your thing, then feel no guilt not participating. We all do what we want and what we can.
