Turnpike Troubadours & Cody Jinks Team for Select Shows

A couple of the top flight performers in independent country are teaming up for a rare run of select shows in locations they don’t always play. This will be a unique opportunity for fans in the extremities of the United States to get their taste.
The Turnpike Troubadours and Cody Jinks have announced they will be joining forces for five shows in February and March of 2024. Sweetening the deal for folks in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho will be Trampled By Turtles. You’ll be hard pressed to find a better pairing beyond a big festival lineup.
Cody Jinks just released a new song called “Outlaws and Mustangs” that’s currently sitting atop the Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist. Don’t be surprised if he announces a new album by the time this run of shows transpires.
The Turnpike Troubadours have some new music of their own. On top of their comeback album Cat in the Rain released earlier this year, they just partnered with Apple Music to release three new recordings of previously-released songs: “Mean Old Sun,” “Good Lord Lorrie,” and a cover of John Prine’s “Paradise” that they debuted at the Newport Folk Festival this summer.
Cody Jinks, the Turnpike Troubadours, and Trampled By Turtles have a full boat of tour dates developing for 2024. But to see these folks together is worth an extra effort to seek them out.

How do shows like this usually work? As in, who opens for whom?

The MGM Fenway venue in Boston has a 5K capacity. Last time Cody played a couple shows at the Emerson Theater which has a 1.7K capacity. He did a summer acoustic show at the beach, maybe an hour out of Boston, where the venues capacity was 3K, but I don’t think they go full capacity for those shows.
I already know a large group of folks who are attending. CAN’T WAIT!

This definitely feels like Cody and Turnpike combining forces to try to expand their reach into markets they’ve struggled to expand into in the past. I think it’s a good idea.

Exactly. Agreed.

I figured there was no chance they’d be in my area but I’m very pleasantly surprised. Can’t wait.

Secured 2 tickets during pre-sale for the March 8th show in Eugene. Never thought either of these two would ever get in this corner of the country.

As Trigger mentioned, be sure to catch the opener Trampled by Turtles. I’ll be there too, this is a can’t miss lineup. I caught TT and TBT at the Fairwell Festival but didn’t get to enjoy them with 95 degree temps and crowds of people. Super excited to experience a full show from Turnpike. I’ve seen both Jinks and TBT solo shows before.
