Tyler Childers EXTENDS Sold-Out “Mule Pull ’24” Tour

After years of only performing select dates, Tyler Childers is pulling out all the stops and swelling opportunities to see him to the demand for his “Mule Pull ’24” tour. The tour sold out immediately when initial dates went on sale, with 22 of the 24 dates selling out as soon as tickets went live in September, including consecutive nights at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and Madison Square Garden in New York. The only two dates that didn’t sell out were in London and Germany, and they may sell out soon.
So Tyler Childers has added 23 more dates for 2024, spanning throughout the South, Midwest, as well as the Rockies and into Canada. Openers will include performers like S.G. Goodman, Wayne Graham, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Shakey Graves, and Laid Back Country Picker. Similar to the first round of dates, you can expect these shows to sell out immediately.
To help limit professional reseller activity, the “Mule Plow” tour will use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange for resale. Fans will be able to use the Exchange to resell tickets to other fans at the original price paid. Tickets for all shows will be mobile only and restricted from transfer.
Fans are being asked to register before tickets go on-sale to help block bots and scalpers, reduce resale and get tickets directly into the hands of real people. Registration for the pre-sale is open now until Sunday, October 8 at 11:59pm ET—sign up HERE. Once registration closes, fans will be randomly selected to receive a code that grants them access to the pre-sale starting next Wednesday, October 11.
All dates go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 13th at 10:00 am local time.
Tyler’s most recent album Rustin’ in the Rain set a career sales record with 38,500 equivalent units sold during its first week, and debuted at #4 in country, and #10 on the Billboard all-genre 200 chart. Childers previously hit #1 in country with his 2019 album Country Squire. Despite the good debut week, Rustin’ In The Rain has currently slipped to #28 on the country charts, while Tyler’s 2017 album Purgatory currently sits at #18.

Wow, Bangor, Maine and Prince Edward Island. Unusual places to to play.
October 5, 2023 @ 8:50 am
Bangor has a new outdoor venue. Be amazed at the acts that play there.
October 5, 2023 @ 12:37 pm
Is that the Maine Savings one or something else?
October 6, 2023 @ 10:41 am
Yeah that’s it. 15k capacity now
October 5, 2023 @ 3:01 pm
The PEI Festival gets some pretty big names as headliners.
Last year Luke Combs was one of the headliners. Festival before that (2019 due to Covid) had Eric Church and Carrie Underwood.
This year Tyler Childers is one of the headliners (the other announced one so far is Zac Brown). That’s some hefty (in popular renown, regardless of your opinions of their music’s quality) company to be in.
October 5, 2023 @ 8:11 am
I nearly pulled the trigger on Knoxville tickets. Thank goodness I didn’t; Childress is going to play in my backyard.
Star Lake will be testament if country music has been saved and Tyler’s popularity. It’s listed at 23,000, but when no one is looking, the jam in more. I was there both Farm Aids and the first one in 2002 forced them to reconfigure the layout and decrease the capacity as upwards of 25,000 were in attendance.
It’s located in SW Pennsylvania, but only 6 miles from the West Virginia border. I’ll be excited to see how it sells out and at what capacity.
October 5, 2023 @ 6:50 pm
Regrettably, I haven’t been out there to see Willie just because it’s such a bear of a venue to deal with so this will be my first trip back in many years. That is assuming I can get tickets before they sell out. Couldn’t sniff ZB but I have seen him at smaller venues so not sure I could justify the price anyways, though I have no complaints about the ticket price, just would rather spread my own funds around at smaller venues.

Second times the charm for me. Here’s hopign!
October 5, 2023 @ 9:01 am
Milwaukee Summerfest show is not technically sold out, but close enough to consider it sold out.
Will be interesting who will be booked into adjacent Bmo pavilion [this year, for example, Zac Brown at the amphiteater opposed Avett Bros at the pavilion].
October 5, 2023 @ 9:14 am
Come on Tyler, no love for us up here in MN?! ZB sold out US Bank Stadium in a heartbeat! There’s a nice gap after the 6/13 Chicago show – management should consider TCF or Target Field to keep it outdoors.
October 5, 2023 @ 10:07 am
Several of those openers – S.G, Adeem, Willi – played a 150 cap venue when they last rolled through these parts. Very cool Tyler is putting them in front of his massive fan base on the big stage.
October 5, 2023 @ 10:12 am
The new record is in heavy rotation around here, absolutely love it! I won’t be going to the United Center, but Glendel, you’re on to something. The Milwaukee Summerfest grounds has a much nicer festive atmosphere. It’s not sold out, and there’s always tickets around…….hey here’s 4th row off to the right for $435, and a few in the back for a much more reasonable $95. Like you said you never know who else is playing the other stages that day. It’s a Friday, I might make a day of it!
October 5, 2023 @ 10:32 am
we already have a good deal (< $170) on a very very close hotel.
October 5, 2023 @ 10:17 am
Willi Carlisle and Adeem the Artist are openers too! Why leave them off?
October 5, 2023 @ 10:28 am
Oh jeez.
Willie Carlisle and Adeem The Artist are both listed in the concert dates just like every other artist. I did not mention them in the top of the article because they were already part of this tour. Both artists have been featured prominently on this site before. I was the first site to ever feature Willi Carlisle. Both were nominated for Saving Country Music’s Song of the Year in 2022, and came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
October 5, 2023 @ 6:09 pm
My bad, trigger! Didn’t see em
October 5, 2023 @ 2:19 pm
I don’t think all tickets are going on sale October 13. Unless I got scammed, I just bought tickets for an Alpharetta show an hour ago. I recommend people look to see if their preferred venue is already offering tickets.
October 6, 2023 @ 6:31 am
I was wrong! I went ahead and canceled that transaction. Thanks for being so clear about this SCM, because it helped me realize that website was probably scamming me early enough to cancel the charge and enroll in actual pre-sales.
October 6, 2023 @ 7:04 am
Glad you figured it out. I do know they’re doing a lot of stuff on this tour to try to limit resellers. It’s still TicketMaster and Live Nation. But they do have certain tools if artists request them that can help.
October 5, 2023 @ 2:23 pm
Also it’s Shakey Graves I stead of Shaky, if you care to correct that little typo, Trigger.
October 6, 2023 @ 4:03 am
The fact that Nathaniel Rateliff is opening for Tyler & the Food Stamps says a lot to me.
October 6, 2023 @ 7:29 pm
Why not Minnesota?!?!?
January 30, 2024 @ 6:15 am
Lexington KY was amazing . Wish he would have BlackBerry Smoke opening for him
