Vince Gill Reveals New Tour Dates for 2026

Country Music Hall of Famer, renown guitar player, part-time member of The Eagles, and all around country music good guy Vince Gill is continuing his celebration of 50 years in music by extending his 2026 tour. Gill had previously announced a slew of dates for the summer, including a six day residency at the Ryman Auditorium. Now he’s added more dates throughout the South, Midwest, and in New York.
Joining Vince Gill on the road will be Moose Brown (keyboards), Eddie Dunlap (steel guitar), Jedd Hughes (guitar/vocals), John Jarvis (keyboards), John Meador (guitar/vocals), Wendy Moten (vocals), Jimmy Sloas (bass), Billy Thomas (drums), Jeff White (guitar, vocals), Charlie Worsham (guitar).
Along with numerous live appearances, Vince Gill has been releasing a new EP per month after signing a lifetime record deal with his label, MCA Nashville. He released Brown’s Diner Bar on January 9th—the 3rd installment of the EP series. The idea is he’ll release an EP for a month for the next 12. Each EP features six new songs, and revisits an old Gill classic.

So this is Vince’s “legit” tour.
[There’s a British guitarist named Fil with a Wings of Pegasus channel on Youtube. Used to just analyze and react to famous artitsts’ performance and was universally laudatory of their talents. But then he took a sidetrack into analyzing concert performances with computer software to see if they’re actually performing live or are lip synching . Per Phil’s analysis, he’s caught the Eagles dead to rights. Henley’s vocals are have been lip-synched for years and even the back-up singers lip synch to recorded backing tracks. It caused a whole ruckus, but I don’t think the Egales have not denied it and nobody’s suing Fil or getting his channel shut down. ]

I don’t know. Could be, most concert fans don’t care.
I’d feel foolish paying $400 a ticket to hear an artist mime to recording tracks. Heck the concert tickets I’ve bought in recent years–Oak Ridge Boys, Marty Stuart, Ricky Skaggs, Brothers of the Heart, James McMurtry, Vince Gill, himself, at the Beacon, et al, I just got tickets for NGDB at Tarrytown–all were priced under $100. (Vince’s tickets were probably the most expensive of the bunch and may have topped $100 including the on-line fees.) I’m pretty sure they all sang live, vocal imperfections and all.

There were vocal imperfections at the Eagles concert in March 2024, in Charlotte, N.C.
We, the crowd, went along with it, and appreciated the experience.
No one expected perfection from Walsh, Timothy B. Schmidt, Henley, etc.
And, Vince, sounded very good.
Great concert.
Not trying to negate what you are saying Lucky, just letting you know it was an excellent concert.

Fil called out Henley and Schmidt on the lip syncing. I watched that last year. He also analyzed Walsh and found possible evidence of the same. I’ve never seen Fil analyze Vince Gills Eagles performance. Vince Gill is not known for lip syncing. I was at the Ohio tour date last year for this 50th anniversary tour Vince sang and told stories for 3.5 hrs long. It was not lip synced. As grand as his voice is he doesnt quite hit the high range like he used to. What you get with Vince on any given night is the real Vince, imperfections and all.
I commented on this tour last year noting that SCM hadn’t even mentioned it. Its an excellent opportunity to see Gill right now, with a smoking hot band and a terrific setlist.

I’m LOVING the last two EPs Vince Gill put out – Brown’s Diner Bar and Down at the Borderline. The lower register in Gill’s voice works for me. In his younger days, his voice was too pretty for me. There’s a warmth and exposed regional dialect not being overpowered. Some of these songs sound more like Jason Isbell than prime Gill.

The EPs are good. I don’t know that I can dedicate a review to each one for 12 months with so many other albums coming out. But so far, each one has been quality, though I wish he would shake up the music a little bit.

I’m hoping for a bluegrass EP.

Henley was caught singing along to his own vocal track, not lip-synching. And then once caught, returned to singing without a track. The number of people who made excuses for him surprised me. It’s embarrassing, and it’s not like Henley needs the money, but live is rarely live any more. Welcome to the new world. For me, the Eagles died with Frey.
As far as Gill goes, he can still sing his ass off, and his new projects have been solid.

Man I might have to try the one at Hershey Theatre. Great venue. I’ve only ever seen Vince at the Opry and he always kinda treats that like a living room show.
February 11, 2026 @ 6:42 am
i saw him last year in Reading PA – nice venue, great crowd, great band. and a really great show from Vince except he did a bunch of stuff from his last couple records and the crowd wasn’t having it. he basically told one guy toward the front to shut up and be patient when the guy yelled out “One More Last Chance” lol I wasn’t impressed with Gill’s response. yeah, i get that he wants to share his new stuff but he has to understand that people wanna hear the hits.

I think that one reason that Gill does not do an “All My Hits” show, is that he always sang in a high range, and as someone noted above, he can’t hit those notes anymore. [That’s the nature of being a tenor singer. Jimmy Fortune was the tenor with the Statler Brothers, but in his current group, “Brothers of the Heart,” he can’t sing as high as Mike Rogers–who comes from bluegrass and also plays in Ricky Skagg’s “Kentucky Thunder”]
When I saw Gill at the Beacon last year (which he noted he had last appeared at with Pure Prarie League). he did his major hits, but I thought that when he brought out his new material, it actually strengthened the show.

I saw Charlie Sexton tell a fan off when the fan kept calling for Arc Angels songs at a club show years ago. The audience clapped at Charlie’s response. I saw another show where Steve Earle told a fan that it was his show and he knew what he was doing. Lol. Good for Vince. Fans need to know their place; not everyone is going to get to hear their favorite song.
February 11, 2026 @ 8:00 am
Some world class pickers in that lineup.
February 11, 2026 @ 8:43 am
Saw Vince at Chicago Theater last year and he was amazing!!! Also love seeing Charlie Worsham touring with him. Charlie is so good!

Hey Trigger, wondering if this is a topic you’ll be writing about coming up now that its starting to affect country music artists…
“Orville Peck joins Wasserman exodus amid CEO’s links to Epstein files”
February 11, 2026 @ 9:48 am
Bob Lefsetz just wrote about it.
February 11, 2026 @ 9:56 am
I have a whole thing on the Wasserman / Epstein Files revelations I’ve been working on for days. I hope it will go up very soon. Lots going on right now.
February 11, 2026 @ 10:12 am
Crazy times we live in for sure. Thank god for music :p
And thanks!
February 11, 2026 @ 4:12 pm
Saw Vince at The Fox Theater in Atlanta this past fall. Dude can still pick and sing with the best of them.
February 11, 2026 @ 5:34 pm
Upsetting to see there’s no TX dates.
February 11, 2026 @ 7:13 pm
Not a true concert date, but Gill will also be appearing next week at the Ronnie Milsap tribute marking 50 years as a Grand Ole Opry member, along with many other singers who are Milsap fans. I hope Trigger can find time to write about that event, as there are very very few living 50-year Opry members.
February 11, 2026 @ 10:58 pm
Good for him. Milsap seems to be the forgotten country superstar with a career stretching back to the 1970s. Charley Pride also almost disappeared, though his name always comes up in recurring discussions about race in country music. At least Charley and Ronnie both made the cut and got cameos in the “Forever Country” tribute/mash-up from ten years ago–along with, of course, Willie and Dolly, who’ve never been in danger of disappearing.
