Zach Bryan Arrested for Obstruction of Investigation

This story is developing.
Zach Bryan was arrested Thursday evening, September 7th, in the town of Vinita, Oklahoma in the northeast portion of the state, and charged with “obstruction of investigation.” Vinita is about an hour northeast of Tulsa, roughly 40 miles from Bryan’s hometown of Oologah, and near the part of Oklahoma where Bryan is believed to live.
The arrest was made by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Bryan was taken into custody. According to the online record, Bryan was booked into the Craig County Jail at 6:42 PM, and he was later released on bond.
Zach Bryan has released a statement at 9:30 Central saying,
“Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said. I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around. Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers.”
Saving Country Music has reached out to the Craig County Sheriff’s Office to get more details, but they are declining to comment or give further information about the arrest due to the pending investigation. Saving Country Music has also reached out to both Zach Bryan’s manager, as well as his publicist/label, and has not heard back at the time of this post.
In Oklahoma, obstruction of investigation is a misdemeanor, and carries a maximum sentence of one year and/or a fine of $500. The crime is defined as, “Any person who willfully delays or obstructs any public officer in the discharge or attempt to discharge any duty of his or her office.”
Zach Bryan posted earlier in the day on Instagram with his dog Jack, “On the road again, gonna go see the birds win.” Bryan is a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Earlier on Thursday, Zach Bryan was revealed as a nominee for the CMA New Artist of the Year. He currently hols the #1 song in America with “I Remember Everything” featuring Kacey Musgraves, as well as the #1 album with his self-titled effort released on August 25th.
UPDATE: On Friday morning (9-8), Zach Bryan addressed the situation in a detailed video.

Runnin out of highway
Lookin for a place to fall….
September 7, 2023 @ 7:50 pm
Don’t you think this outlaw bit’s done got out of hand, out of hand…
Art commented it on the SCM FB page, “he’s official now!”
September 8, 2023 @ 12:33 am
He apologized and expressed his respect for law enforcement. Not an outlaw.
September 7, 2023 @ 7:51 pm
I feel like there’s a pun here about him seeing “something in the orange” when he let his emotions get the best of him. Far be it from me to stoop to that level, though.
In other news, I was literally just listening to this guy for the very first time on Spotify when this was posted.
September 7, 2023 @ 7:52 pm
He just posted a statement on his Instagram. Had a few words with OK police.
September 7, 2023 @ 7:55 pm
So he got mouthy with a cop with a fragile ego.
September 7, 2023 @ 8:34 pm
This his liberal crusade he’s on to the delight of posters here
September 7, 2023 @ 8:37 pm
I’m pretty far from a liberal, and still don’t get the ZB hype. But ok.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:20 am
You know not everything fits into a simpole political box.
September 7, 2023 @ 8:42 pm
I’m willing to bet the body cam footage is a bad look for Zach Bryan if his first tweet out is “I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers
September 7, 2023 @ 8:45 pm
Oh, I’m sure he got mouthy. This is why I will always say don’t ever speak to a cop tho. They ask for license and registration, there’s nothing to gain by talking to them. But most people can deal with someone smarting off, but when you tell a cop that they can arrest people for it, you can bet your ass they’re taking that opportunity.
September 7, 2023 @ 8:03 pm
I’d say buddy is wound pretty tight with how much grief he’s taken over ticket prices these past couple of days.
Pissing contests with LEO are no-win situations. Diffuse and move on, always.
September 7, 2023 @ 8:20 pm
I know. That angry little narcissist, Tyler Mahan Coe, was seeking attention by relentlessly bashing ZB all day on twitter. I finally blocked him.
September 7, 2023 @ 9:26 pm
I feel for him. Can never make everyone happy all the time, and he really tried with the AXS only tour. Valiant effort, but folks complained about that one too, and now he’s getting maligned as a hypocrite.
He reads and replies to wayyyy too many of his comments though. At some point, you have to stop. I get not wanting to feel out of touch. But at the level he’s at now, he’s only going to make himself miserable.
All territory that comes with appeasing the terminally online generation, I guess.
September 8, 2023 @ 3:47 am
Hadn’t heard of Tyler Mahan Coe and made the mistake of looking him up.
September 8, 2023 @ 10:44 am
I don’t get Tyler Mahan Coe. How can the same person show so much respect for the art form and the culture around it on Cocaine and Rhinestones and then be so insufferably mean-spirited on Twitter?
September 8, 2023 @ 11:25 am
Although in his defense I should say that immediately after posting this I saw he made some very astute comments on Tyler Childers and at least one Zach Bryan joke that was hilarious so it’s a mixed bag…
September 9, 2023 @ 3:48 pm
I’ve wondered the same thing, it’s like a night and day difference. He might have got a little irate on the podcast from time to time but nothing like his Twitter presence where he’s throwing bombs and belittling people left and right. I don’t know anything about him besides his work and that he’s DAC’s son but I hope this is some type of social media derangement syndrome rather than issues from his upbringing or some deeper problems.
Like I genuinely hope he has real fulfilling relationships offline because from the Internet it seems like he’s bitter and mean. It can’t be fun, I know all too well that the false joy that comes from cruelty turns to ashes in your mouth quickly and without warning.
September 9, 2023 @ 5:00 pm
Similar to Jason Isbell, Tyler Mahan Coe is a young soul with an addictive personality that is being gamed by the Twitter algorithm’s perverse incentive structure that rewards users with dopamine hits via likes and shares when they sow negativity, engage in conspiracy, and at times, outright lie. The more you pander to a constituency on Twitter, the more negative and bullying you are, them more you are rewarded with followers and engagement. The entire media structure in America is gripped by this same perverse incentive structure. That is why the media is is so polarized and siloed, and it’s literally ripping at the fabric of society.
Tyler Mahan Coe is also often empirically wrong. This includes his podcast.
September 8, 2023 @ 12:59 pm
I know he did does the country history podcast but I’m calling him a nepo baby, so obnoxious
September 9, 2023 @ 12:55 pm
I’ll never take Tyler seriously until he comes out of the closet.
September 7, 2023 @ 8:33 pm
Hope Jack is fine!
September 7, 2023 @ 8:40 pm
Very curious as to the “reasonable suspicion” highway patrol had, or claim to have had, in detaining him in the first place. Whatever it was, it did not lead to any further legal action – only obstruction of police investigation. What were they “investigating”, and can they demonstrate proof of reasonable suspicion in order to initiate a traffic stop and further detainment? Bring on the cop cam footage.
September 7, 2023 @ 8:53 pm
Looks like investigation is a very broad term.
“Oklahoma state law defines “obstruction of investigation” as “willfully delaying or obstructing any public officer in the discharge or attempt to discharge any duty of his office.” A defendant need not use physical force to be charged with obstruction.
September 7, 2023 @ 9:04 pm
What investigation was he obstructing? Didn’t say he used physical force. Police legally can require you to identify yourself – however, they cannot arbitrarily detain individuals and then require identity. Just very curious as to the details of the situation in order to gain further insight. Judging by his current album cover, maybe he threw a cig butt out of the window… who knows. Still want to see that Paul Cauthen body cam footage out of curiosity. Anybody got that?
September 8, 2023 @ 2:59 am
More than likely irs what Tommy said, he got pulled over for something and got mouthy and cop decided to have a power trip. My cop friend said same thing when he heard about it and said its a bs charge cops use all thr time
September 8, 2023 @ 5:02 am
Whether or not they “cannot arbitrarily detain individuals,” they do so all the time.
September 8, 2023 @ 7:20 am
“I’m not driving, I’m traveling.”
September 8, 2023 @ 8:58 am
This happened to me along the interstate near Athens, Tennessee a few years ago. A policeman saw my Texas license plate and decided he didn’t like me. Even though I was below the speed limit and had done nothing wrong whatsoever, he pulled me over and checked my vehicle for drugs and had his dog sniff all around. I don’t do drugs, so he didn’t find anything. He let me go with just a “warning” to “drive safely.” I already drove safely. I handled the situation very calmly and politely, but on my return trip, I drove thirty miles out of my way to take back roads so that I would never have to pass through that crappy town again.
September 8, 2023 @ 10:23 am
After watching Bryan’s explanation, if accurate, he was actually arrested for refusing to obey an unlawful command by a police officer.
The second part of “Title 21. Crimes and Punishments §21-540. Obstructing officer.” states, “Nothing in this section shall preclude a person from recording the activity of law enforcement in a public area, as long as the recording activity does not delay or obstruct the law enforcement agent in his or her duties.”
If he was not being detained by police when he exited his vehicle, not only did he have the legal right to do so, he also had the legal right to record the police after doing so. If you are not under arrest or in police detention, the only thing they can lawfully order you to do is obey the law – that’s it. Last I checked it is totally legal to exit your vehicle in Oklahoma, as much as it it totally legal to refuse some asshole’s order to enter your vehicle, even if that asshole is a cop.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:41 pm
Watched they dash cam footage. Unlawful order. Period.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:45 pm
“I ASKED (not ordered) you to get back in your truck, and you wouldn’t do it.”
September 7, 2023 @ 8:51 pm
No idea what happened, but “obstruction of investigation” is often charged when the cops are arresting or dealing with someone after a fight or accident, and their buddy foolishly tries to tell the cops they “can’t do that” or the like, and the buddy gets himself arrested after the cops tell him to back off and shut up but he doesn’t. Perhaps it was something totally different, but this is my wild ass guess.
September 7, 2023 @ 9:53 pm
A Philadelphia Eagles fan? Confirms my suspicions about this dude.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:00 am
He lives in Philly. Judging a man by the team he supports is silly
September 8, 2023 @ 8:56 am
I think it’s absolutely valid to judge a man by the team he supports.
Never trust a Cowboys fan.
September 7, 2023 @ 10:47 pm
About time action was taken against terrible facial hair.
September 8, 2023 @ 3:49 am
The moustache is back in apparently!
September 8, 2023 @ 12:26 am
If the cop was being a pain in the ass for no good reason and Zach mouthed off, that is 100% forgivable, if not acceptable. Supporting the police does not mean you have to bend over for every cop.
September 8, 2023 @ 12:54 am
…is the mug shot fastly becoming the new cover of the “rolling stone” these days? when even rich men south of richmond seem to believe that – why not a god fearin’ oklahoma sailor, who could not really convincingly claim anymore that he did not remember everthing.
September 8, 2023 @ 1:56 am
Hey trigger I know it’s not really relevant to this story but the album was released August 25 I believe.
September 8, 2023 @ 2:19 am
Yehaw outlaw country is back
September 8, 2023 @ 2:39 am
Lmao
September 8, 2023 @ 3:45 am
That charge around here is called “interference with official acts” and it’s a pretty much catchall for anything and everything an officer thinks you have or haven’t done. It’s a bullshit charge and usually handed out to folks who are making the officers job harder than they want it to be.
September 8, 2023 @ 4:51 am
You know it’s a nonsense situation when the only charge is something like resisting arrest. It’s not illegal to be rude to a cop no matter how much cops think it is. Cause he sure wasn’t arrested for anything to do with the “investigation” he was supposedly obstructing.
September 8, 2023 @ 5:29 am
Just curious, who if anybody owns the IP of a mugshot?
September 8, 2023 @ 7:03 am
It is a public image since it was taken by the government and subject to the Freedom of Information Act.
September 8, 2023 @ 9:25 am
If he was a total prick he’d release a load of merch with the photo on.
September 8, 2023 @ 10:20 am
Who would do such a thing?!
September 9, 2023 @ 4:15 am
Coincidentally enough I’ve just read an article about a certain other person who is profiting from the use of his mugshot which included the following: A 2022 article in the University of Georgia School of Law’s Journal of Intellectual Property Law noted, “In the context of photographs taken by law enforcement during the booking process, the author of the mugshot photograph is the law enforcement agency.” That could mean that if the Fulton County sheriff wants to go after *redacted* for those profits, he might have the legal ground to do so. And as MSNBC pointed out, Fulton County “just happens to be in desperate need of funds to address the horrific conditions in the Fulton County Jail.”
September 8, 2023 @ 5:35 am
10 bucks says the bodycam footage will include the phrase “do you know who I am?”
September 8, 2023 @ 8:46 am
I was thinking the same thing. Zach’s initial persona seemed that of a humble nice guy. I don’t know how accurate that is, and even assuming it it very accurate, you gotta think the money and fame that came so quick has to change you a little. I’ll be curious to see additional info.
September 8, 2023 @ 1:55 pm
I will take that bet and up you to $1000. No bias, just like a little risk
September 8, 2023 @ 5:16 pm
Ok.
September 8, 2023 @ 5:56 am
Total non story. Pump the brakes until all facts are in.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:02 am
Always fun to read the comments of the Internet Lawyers any time something like this happens. No real information here other than from Bryan who self admittedly stated he let his emotions get the best of him. But let’s just go ahead and make wild assumptions from that.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:22 am
It sounds like a pretty typical small town cop vs. guy who’s too busy for this bullshit situation.
September 9, 2023 @ 5:41 am
If he was too busy, he would have been on a private jet. I bet he will be next time.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:23 am
No problems with the law north of Richmond, but then he tried that in a small town
September 9, 2023 @ 6:57 am

The old line is that “Obstruction/Interfering” is when a cop tackles you for mouthing off, while “Resisting” is when they beat the shit out of you.
Figure the charges will be dropped in return for community service or something.
September 8, 2023 @ 8:36 am
Looks like he ran afoul of Rosco P. Coltrane!
September 8, 2023 @ 1:59 pm
Hehehe. This comment wins. I just read it in James Best’s voice.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:41 am
Regardless of what the law says about having/not having to identify yourself, the cops will create some bullshit about why you absolutely had to provide them with ID. I speak from experience. It is one of the reasons I don’t blanket “back the blue.”
September 8, 2023 @ 1:50 pm
Off the top of my head, “Back the Blue” has to be one of the 5 dumbest ideas the right has ever supported… right behind, “The Patriot Act”, and “Pro Vietnam War.”
September 8, 2023 @ 7:17 pm
“Believe all women?”
September 8, 2023 @ 8:00 pm
Yessir, also terrible, and frankly embarrassing… I can at least understand the ideological arguments for the 3 I mentioned.
September 8, 2023 @ 7:31 pm
ACAB is a much more reasonable statement than “Back the Blue.” Now I’ll sit back and wait to be called a liberal again because I recognize that cops are all dirty, just to varying degrees.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:44 am
I predict that charges will be dropped in a day or so, and outside of this site and a few other music sites, no one will notice. Life goes on, outlaw cred nullified, high school mustache photo forever embedded in our subconscious
September 8, 2023 @ 7:30 am
Updated with a video from Zach Bryan this morning explaining everything from his side of the story.
September 8, 2023 @ 7:52 am
He’s over-apologizing, which is smart. Sure, don’t be a jerk, I get that, but the cops sound out of line as well.
September 8, 2023 @ 8:59 am
Yeah, sounds like everything he said to the cop was both 100% correct and deeply unwise to tell a cop, haha.
September 8, 2023 @ 8:31 am
Hope they lock him up so we dont have to be subjected to his “music”
September 8, 2023 @ 9:05 am
Bryan was a total jerk.
Getting out of his vehicle while the police were talking to Bryan’s friend, STUPID.
That was an act of aggression.
Bryan’s reputation precedes him.
A couple years ago some of Bryan’s shipmates were telling of this same behaviour by Bryan. And, what a total narcissistic jerk he is.
Oh but he’s a total badass because look at him – he can play an electric guitar in the snow.
Outlaw?
Laughing.
Narcissist.
September 8, 2023 @ 10:52 am
So he’s not allowed to get out of his car on the side of the road without being arrested?
September 8, 2023 @ 10:58 am
“An act of aggression.”
Dear God, the fragility.
Anyone that threatened by a guy smoking a cig while waiting for his buddy during a traffic stop lacks the mental toughness necessary to be a cop.
It’s worrying that these people have guns.
Anyway, he went to my local after one of his shows in the spring, and the serving staff all say he was lovely – he even offered them tickets to a show the next weekend.
Anyone who’s nicer to waiters than pencil-dicked smalltown cops gets an A in my book.
September 8, 2023 @ 2:03 pm
“Anyone that threatened by a guy smoking a cig while waiting for his buddy during a traffic stop lacks the mental toughness necessary to be a cop.”
Typical Lester, taking things out of context.
Bryan got out of his vehicle to address the cop, while the cop was talking with his buddy.
Way to skew the facts.
Knew that was going to happen.
September 8, 2023 @ 3:31 pm
Hahahaha
Not addressing bullshit that you’ve whipped out of thin air is different from “taking things out of context.”
He didn’t “get out of his vehicle to address the cop.”
Bryan got out of his vehicle, and the coo went after him for doing so…despite it being completely legal.
Then Bryan got lippy with the cop for being a fucking loser on a power trip.
Obviously wasn’t a smart thing to do, of course – the default assumption when dealing with a police officer should always be that they’re an unstable bully who didn’t have the brains for the Marine or the nerves for the Coast Guard.
September 8, 2023 @ 8:22 pm
“Obviously wasn’t a smart thing to do, of course – the default assumption when dealing with a police officer should always be that they’re an unstable bully who didn’t have the brains for the Marine or the nerves for the Coast Guard.”
Interesting observation, Lester.
Apparently you are unfamiliar with the law enforcement in this country who were also Marines & Coasties.
My husband being one.
September 8, 2023 @ 3:05 pm
Speaking of someone who seems to think too highly of themselves. Pot, meet kettle.
September 29, 2023 @ 9:44 am
Now imagine if that was a black 24-year-old man talking to that white Oklahoma cop like that. The cop was kinda old, but he would have called for backup and there likely would have been physical violence.
September 8, 2023 @ 9:50 am
Everybody loves the cops until they don’t. Now you know what happens in a small town. Save Zach!
September 8, 2023 @ 9:58 am
He’s a traditionalist, you see, like Merle and George (and Wallen).
September 8, 2023 @ 10:05 am
Only thing I see that he did wrong was apologize to the police for some bullshit charges. I respect him for standing up for his rights. Any lawyer could get this dismissed in a second. Probably smart PR to not alienate any of his fan base though.
September 8, 2023 @ 10:49 am
nothing more country than acting like a spoiled entitled little punk to police and then telling his security guard hes going cross country to watch a Philadelphia Eagles game… and this is the country savior ? how pathetic
September 8, 2023 @ 11:10 am
The only spoiled, entitled punk in this story is the snowflake cop who arrested Bryan for getting out of his car and (correctly) telling him that he wasn’t allowed to arrest people for getting out of their cars.
September 8, 2023 @ 5:52 pm
Dude, Jester, your favorite singer looks baaad in that dashcam video. What an entitled little bi**h he is.
Are you really gonna defend that? I get that you’re a Stan, but don’t Stans have to have standards too?
September 8, 2023 @ 11:52 am
Once got pulled over and given a warning from an Oklahoma police office for going 1 over. They get bored and look for stuff. This could go either way and I’d believe it.
September 8, 2023 @ 1:01 pm
He supposedly said, “These f—ing cops are out of control” and “You boys need checked, a bunch of f—ing middle aged white dudes arresting people.”
Gone woke. And so quick after his Musgraves duet. Rubs off.
Sorry.
September 8, 2023 @ 1:35 pm
According to multiple media outlets, Zach’s dad said he was going to call the governor.
Rules for thee but not for me!!
September 8, 2023 @ 2:40 pm
Don’t judge a man by something his dad did.
September 8, 2023 @ 1:49 pm
I mean…spot the lie?
Or is your point that “woke” statements tend to be objective, empirical truths?
September 8, 2023 @ 2:58 pm
Ah, yes, “empirical truths”… I love those.
One of my favorite woke “empirical truths” is, “men can menstruate.” It’s really a brilliant observation.
September 8, 2023 @ 1:07 pm
Old age has its advantages …. Maturity ????♀️
September 8, 2023 @ 1:07 pm
this could be the second most famous mugshot of the year!
September 8, 2023 @ 2:56 pm
Video sure shows why he is over apologizing. Never get to know your heroes
September 8, 2023 @ 3:41 pm
“Video sure shows” two things.
1) Bryan isn’t gonna get charged with shit, because he didn’t interfere with the jackass at any point.
2) Bryan was an idiot who escalated the situation by calling the jackass a jackass, rather than quietly taking it and immediately getting back in his car.
September 8, 2023 @ 4:57 pm
Lester – next time you get pulled over for speeding, or come in contact with a cop for any other reason, threaten them with something along the lines of “if you keep talking, that would be a mistake”, and see where that gets you. That could be interpreted in many ways, from just a hungover kid with empty beers in his glove box (also a great move, and no way his excuse of “I was just listening to music in my driveway” was legit) who is on a power trip due to recent viral-ness / chart success, …..all the way to a threat of immediate physical violence. He objectively went WAY beyond just “calling a jackass a jackass”.
Also of note, if there were a video to come out of Sam Hunt, or one of the guys from Midland, or any other similar person acting like this, everyone here (including yourself) would be roasting them. It’s odd that just because he’s the flavor of the month, he gets a pass.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:50 pm
We must have watched different videos
September 9, 2023 @ 6:58 pm
Yep. You may need to check your glasses.
September 12, 2023 @ 7:13 am
…what the fuck are you talking about, honey?
Bryan was cuffed for the crime of talking to his security guard, then telling the cop that he was talking to his security guard.
Anything and everything said after the arrest is entirely irrelevant when assigning blame for the initial arrest.
Anyway, I’d never be in this situation, because I know better than to mouth off to armed thugs with a propensity for violence nearly as large as their peckers are tiny.
But it was kind of sweet to see Zach think that concepts like “Right,” “Wrong,” or “The Law” would have any bearing on a cop’s behavior.
September 8, 2023 @ 3:27 pm
Did this genius actually tell the cop to arrest him? …And then whine about it? Then threatened the cop with “if you keep talking, that would be a mistake” and pulled the “you have any idea who I am”? Yes, yes he did.
The escalation in ZB’s tantrum toward the end of the arrest video definitely was driven by the fact that the officer had no idea who he was. The officer must not have teenagers at home….
September 8, 2023 @ 5:04 pm
This is solely experiential, but I’d say about 33% of cops are absolute garbage. Absolute scum. They’re desperate to kill something or someone.
Here’s one. https://twitter.com/FordFischer/status/1700173240574820582?s=20
September 8, 2023 @ 5:10 pm
The biggest mistake he made was saying to his fans “that isn’t who I am”. Clearly, it is. He should have said that isn’t who I want to be.
September 8, 2023 @ 8:29 pm
Exactly my thought. Actions speak louder than words.
September 8, 2023 @ 5:19 pm
Story has been updated with the dashcam footage. Will have more on this soon.
September 8, 2023 @ 5:49 pm
Wow, Bryan is a little entitled, prima donna a$$.
There’s a lot of scum cops out there, but that cop was a good ol boy.
September 8, 2023 @ 6:08 pm
1. Security guard and ZB should have just chatted through open windows or cell phones. Any rational person knows approaching a vehicle that is being investigated will draw unwanted attention.
2. Officer seemed calm and professional throughout the interaction.
3. I am curious as to what music ZB is listening to while drinking in his truck.
4. Honestly concerned about his emotional stability with everything going on. Would not be surprised if he goes on hiatus in front of a fully sold out 2024 arena/stadium tour; similar to what Shawn Mendes did. Should probably fly down to Costs Rica to a retreat center and take a break while he can. Sitting and drinking in your truck probably ain’t gonna help.
September 8, 2023 @ 7:10 pm
“Sitting and drinking” while I read these comments on a Friday night is entertainment fo sho…
September 8, 2023 @ 6:20 pm
“Wait in the truck, just wait in the truck.”
September 8, 2023 @ 7:28 pm
Had Bryan returned to his truck he would have gotten a ticket and moved on. He decided to tell the officer to arrest him. Even after being placed in cuffs the officer tried to tell him several times that if he would be quiet and wait until the citation was completed he’d be on his way. Zach decided to continue acting like an entitled child by insulting the officer with remarks about white police and why everyone hates police. The officer remained respectful and professional throughout.
Really shameful behavior from a veteran who is taught self discipline and respect for authority. It’s clear success has gone to this guys head. His apology that he respects law enforcement is in contrast to his statements to this officer.

It’s a shame how these child stars struggle as adults. The fame of “Home Improvement” at such a young age was just too much to handle.

Except that the subject of this discussion was not yet born when Home Improvement was filmed.

Really not sure if you’re serious or not… hahahaha

Google Zachary Ty Bryan for his latest mugshot.

There’s a joke the size of a B52 flying over your head.

It’s good that he can get Tim Allen to call the governor.

I don’t know. Chris Knight turned out OK. 😉

He mouthed off to a cop. Big friggin deal. Got arrested because of it and owned up to acting like an idiot after the fact. Lol at anyone faking outrage over it.

His Defenders are just as big jackass as he is and it shows.

It would appear that Zach Bryan decided to take Jason Aldean up on his offer to “try that in a small town.”
I also had the sneaking suspicion some of this was a publicity stunt, whether coordinated in advance or not. Spotify made his mugshot the cover for some “modern outlaw” playlist that’s about as cringe as “Indigo.” But hearing the way he talked and his dad’s remarks make me think, maybe it wasn’t and the industry is just grasping at the “any press is good press” straw to keep milking ZB while the TikTokers are still ardently defending him.
As someone who lived not far from Vinita, I do know the petty speed trap vibes well. But I also know I’ve never wound up in handcuffs when I just said “yes sir, will do” and moved on, no matter how annoyed I was. Even when I was living paycheck to paycheck, I always knew it was easier to accept the ticket than try to argue with a cop in the field. For a dude in a TRX pickup with a gazillion bucks in the bank, you’d think he could just pay his “security guard”s ticket and move on with dignity instead of being impatient and throwing an “arrest me” followed by a “I know every trooper in Tulsa” tantrum.

ZB says he got out of the truck after waiting 15 minutes. The police report says he got out of the truck after 3 minutes. Both can’t be true. The unedited video would clear that up, but so far I have only seen an obviously edited version. Let’s see the full video.

Found the full video on YouTube. ZB pulls up around 2 minutes into the video and is out of the truck between 5 and 6 minutes into the video. Nowhere near 15 minutes as he claimed.

Seeing this new information, it just shows how stupid he is. The vehicle was apparently speeding, good job, more people speeding need to be pulled over. Highways are like NASCAR anymore. So in his case, he should have just stayed in the car. Also a white guy referring to white cops just seems like a woke remark. Wonder what he would have done if they were black or some other race. I also wonder about the open beer cans. Maybe in that state it isn’t an issue but at least where and when I grew up, you had open container laws regardless of whether one thought they were being drank at that time. I’m sure his fans will stick up for him but just seems like an entitled jerk to me.

OHP regularly writes tickets for open container.

Impulse control, what is it?

Zach Bryan strikes me as one of those people who thought George Floyd was a hero and wants to defund the police.

He strikes me as a young man whose fame might have come too quickly. Glad the ignorance of my 20s wasn’t put into public record.
That said, after hearing about an hour of the Rogan interview, none of this surprises me. ZB is in over his head.

He did apologize…..Commendable. This whole traffic stop thing isn’t that big of a deal… he’s a kid (and a kid-level picker / strummer / songwriter). It is what it is.
He struck gold as the dreamy military meat-head who hooked up with exactly the right “make you viral” promoters (yodel boy, anyone?) at the right time….who were looking to strike while the iron was hot based on YouTube likes. And it worked! Perfect timing, and good for them $. It won’t last.
