OK, Trigger, I’m pretty new ’round these parts, but I’m beginning to get your “style”.
I’d give you more than 2 thumbs up if I was born with them.
Glad I found this place more and more.
OK Tigger, I Youtube the video and my goodness! I suppose you cannot do any more harm to this video/song that it hasn’t done to itself. The only thing worse that the stupid song, is the video. For those who looked forward to a Rant and did not get it, just read the comments under the video. They are hilarious! It appears even mainstream fans have their limitations.
I heard this last night and wondered if it would be discussed on here. I decided that, nah, it wouldn’t. There’s just nothing to say about it really. But then here it is and I was quite surprised.
I’m glad it’s just the video. There’s no point in talking about this thing. This is my favorite rant so far, heh.
OK, I confess.
I fast forwarded past Larry King’s hideous mug, and got to the first line of the “chorus”.
Or whatever that was.
I’m not gonna say anything else.
I have to wonder if Scott Borchetta watched the video and thought it was just one metal guitar solo away from being the perfect future for country music.
Just watched the AB2 video and obviously the song still sucks. I’m torn on the video however. One side of me doesn’t want to see anything affiliated with country become as disrespectful as rap/hip hop. The other side of me says there’s nothing better than a spaceship full of strippers!
Hey, I’ve been a fan of pint sized Aussie cutie Kirsty Lee Akers for years! Kirsty was the first gal to my knowledge to record a handful of Angaleena Presley songs years before The Pistol Annies were hatched. Kirsty started off as a somewhat traditional country artist but as now gone much more Americana (Australiana?).
I love the increasing unpredictability of your posts! Thanks for sharing this wonderful song with us. It provides the perfect antidote to the madness described in the headline.
The reason I did not post the video, a link to it, or even rant about it is because this song and video is meant to be bad and draw attention to itself for how bad it is. It’s come to the point now where stuff is so bad and driven by curiosity factor that it is appearing on the charts and making lots of money for the “artists.” It’s best if we not pay attention to this content, and ignore in lieu of stuff we believe is good. That was the point of this post.

Dang Trigger, I got all excited you sly old bait and switch artist!
I’m guessing you saw the real video and where in too much shock to even write anything. It’s just so far beyond… there aren’t words…

Nice. So I can’t even retreat to the solace of my own website without being pursued by people trying to shove this link down my throat.
Sorry, somehow your link got deleted.

Oh, FYI, Kirsty Lee’s site is somehow being intercepted by godaddy.com
When I click “Enter Site” it goes to a GD page.
Anyone else??

I’ll keep it that way, thanks very much.

That was “Achy Breaky Heart”? I thought it was a remix of Big and Rich’s “Comin’ To Your City”!

Here’s a much more interesting video of hers where she sings a song written by talented Nashville songwriter Angela Kaset:

This is the best headline bait and switch you have done!
Gotta do this with bro-country douches rather than really rant, so their fans come here and learn what real country is!
