Amid INSANE Demand, Reunited Cross Canadian Ragweed Adds 2nd Show

Earlier this week, Texas country and Red Dirt fans were left agog when country rock legends Cross Canadian Ragweed announced that they were finally reuniting for a show in Stillwater, Oklahoma at T Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturday, April 12th, 2025.

To sweeten the deal, fellow reunited Oklahoma band the Turnpike Troubadours would be playing as well, along with The Great Divide, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, and Stoney LaRue, resulting in a superfecta of original Stillwater/Red Dirt talent ushering in what fans hope will be a new era for Cross Canadian Ragweed.

How well-received was it? Sources say that over 120,000 people signed up just for the presale access alone. In mid April, Stillwater is going to transform into a major music city. This might turn out to be one of the biggest musical events all year, and in any genre. It’s hard to express the scope of the event, and tickets are not even on sale at the moment.

For context, the seating capacity of T Boone Pickens Stadium is only 53,885, and that’s before you erect a stage at one end. Stillwater’s entire population is just under 50,000. So instead of setting up a scenario where fans are selling their first born or their left kidney to get in (though that might still happen at this point), promoters have set up a second show of “The Boys From Oklahoma” extravaganza happening on Friday, April 11th.

Stillwater is the birthplace of Red Dirt music, and it means so much that these world-famous artists maintain such a strong connection to our community,” says Mayor Will Joyce of Stillwater.

Folks are already reporting that hotel rooms, AirBNBs, couches, dog kennels, and just about every other square inch in Stillwater is already getting scarfed up. This will be one for the ages for sure.

Pre-sale will still start October 7th, with public on-sale (yeah right) starting October 11th. To sign up for the presale, you can still go to theboysfromoklahoma.com.
