Charley Crockett Adds BIG Dates to 2024 Tour

It’s all happening for Charley Crockett. And you’ve been warned for years to see the Texas native in small venues while you still can. Some fans may have their last opportunity to do so in 2024. For certain markets, it might already be too late.
Ahead of the release of his new album $10 Cowboy on April 26th, Charley Crockett has released a bunch of new tour dates, and they speak to his swelling popularity. They include not one date at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, but two. They don’t include a support date at Red Rocks in Colorado, but a headliner one. The word is out on Charley Crockett.
The new tour dates also include numerous ampitheaters this summer, and other cool locations like Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa. Crockett will also be making the rounds on the festival circuit, playing one of the biggest bills in country in 2024 with the Buckeye Country Superfest in Ohio, and one of the most prestigious festivals around, the Telluride Bluegrass Fest in June.
“Being out on the road gives you a first-hand experience of how different kinds of Americans see themselves as going through some kind of great struggle,” Crockett says. “The roughneck working the oil and gas fields in West Texas. The single mother raising kids by herself. The young man working a street corner because he thinks it’s his only option. I would be dishonest if I said I couldn’t see the thread. Each of ‘em feel invisible. I am struck by the battles they are fighting internally, and the ways they have been entrapped by what America says they are.”
Tickets for the new dates will be available starting with artist presale beginning Wednesday, March 13. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday, March 15 at 10am local time at CharleyCrockett.com.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to see Mr. Crockett (as well as a splendid opening performance by Jenny Do and the Don’ts) in Eden, Texas several years ago. We still talk about how fortunate it was to see him in such a small, intimate venue before his career really took off.

I’ve been patiently waiting since I bought my tickets, to see him In Toronto this May.
It’s going to be an awesome night, I’m sure.

Well Louisville is as close as he’s getting to me. I might see if I can get tickets. Would def like to see him.

I saw him in Canberra, Australia a month or so ago.
Great show, mostly great band but his guitar player sucked.
Great steel, great tight sound, but wherever there could be a great showy guitar break it just wasn’t there.
Still great though

I got to see him a few years ago at the Fillmore in Silver Spring MD with Lucas Hudgins as the opener . Pretty awesome to see him now doing shows at the 930 club .

Last year I saw him supporting Tyler Childers at the Greek theater in Berkeley, and at the Fox in Oakland (the Bay Area’s best two music venues). Felt like a gift.
Hope to see him headline the Greek in the coming years

I passed so many times on seeing Charley for $10 at small venues that I don’t feel like I deserve to see him now
March 14, 2024 @ 7:04 am
Nah just go. He has such a great stage presence.
I wasn’t even a fan going into the first show I saw, went cause my wife suggested it. I was blown away and I never miss him when he tours now.

I would love to see Charley Crockett again
I saw him a few months ago in an intimate venue, but it was on a weekday night, in December, and the opener was not only someone I’ve never heard of, they were a completely different style of music. I’m talking that morning blues style of music that sounds more like a wounded water buffalo
So after almost an hour and a half of the opener and then a 45 minute intermission, finally I got to see about 45 minutes of Charley Crockett before I had to leave so I wouldn’t be asleep until noon the next day.
The difference was knight and day. The opener wasn’t well balanced as if they needed somebody with more experience to help with the sound check, there were three guitars, a bass and some drums, and you couldn’t discern very much in the mix
Charley Crockett comes out and there’s one of every instrument. Every one of them is balanced and you can actually tell which parts are being played. You can hear almost every word he sings, stage presence was spectacular. It would’ve been one of the greatest shows I’ve seen in that venue if it hadn’t been for that disappointing opener.
I’ve got tickets to see CWG, and Jason Isbell is coming to my area again this summer and I’m hoping to get tickets when I get paid. Kicking myself that I didn’t see him when he opened for Willie Nelson and Alison Krauss when I had the chance.
If I can make it to Isbell I will have seen every major rising star in country music, proper, except for Cody Jinks and some people might say turnpike. I haven’t heard much from jinks in a few years And it’s unlikely that turnpike or Mike and the Moonpies is going to be in my area anytime soon

I think Crockett is better live than on record. His records are kinda meh for me, but last time I saw him live he was spectacular.
I was surprised he was headlining Jackalope this year (capacity 3,000-3,500). Super surprised to see him headlining Hayden Amphitheater (capacity 8,000). Didn’t know he was that popular, but good for him. He gets played A LOT on the radio here in the PNW (as do Shane Smith, Reckless Kelly, Flatland, Godwin, Uncle Lucious, Ragweed, Stoney LaRue — damn they play a lot of Stoney — and Whiskey Myers, and . . . . ).

Booooo northern CA getting left out.

Charley is an American treasure and as authentic as can be. Not only are his tunes great but the way he displays an effortless charm is so down to earth. So glad this great artist is around

After listening to on CD and watching on TV his superb Ryman live concert, I can understand why people want to see him. He is good! The real deal.

This seems like a good place to add my comment about seeing Charley Crockett here in Brisbane, Australia, back in early February.
It was an excellent show, of course!
I confess I had not followed Charley enough, until I took in “Live at the Ryman” and realized what I had been missing!
A ticket to his Brisbane show was a no-brainer and I was duly rewarded with a great night!
