Fast-Rising Songwriter Jesse Welles Announces New Tour Dates

Jesse Welles is the warrior poet who went from fronting rock bands to recently becoming the poet laureate of the apocalypse with his witty, poignant, and pointed observations presented in pure acoustic form. It hasn’t only been the premises of his songs and the subjects he broaches, but the rapid-fire nature of his output that has put him at or near the top of the heap when it comes to songwriters who tackle current events with the cutting language they deserve.
In one song after another, Jesse Welles stuns with his criticism interwoven with sarcasm. From the War in Gaza, to the fentanyl crisis, to the obesity epidemic, Xanax, modern slavery, even more recent events like the Boeing whistleblowers and the revelations about Nickelodeon, Welles loads up and unleashes, all served through his cracked and raspy voice that may not be the sweetest sound you’ve ever heard, but makes the words feel that more impactful and foreboding.
The Jesse Welles phenomenon might have commenced with semi-viral videos he posted on social media, but after compiling them all into the album Hells Welles (read review), he booked a limited-run acoustic tour to see how many people were actually paying attention. It turns out a ton of people were, and the dates all sold out almost immediately.
So to meet the rising demand for the Jesse Welles phenomenon, he’s now booked a more extensive tour in 2025 called the “Fear Is The Mind Killer” tour. Just like the previous engagements, these dates WILL see out. Pre-sale starts October 16th, at 10am local time. You can sign up for the pre-sale code by clicking here. All tickets available this Friday, October 18th, at 10am local time.

Love to see him getting this recognition, and love to see you’ve done your research! Tons of folks don’t know he had 3-4 bands that all did some touring and released some killer music. The album Red Trees and White Trashes is my favorite of his, followed closely by Patchwork. And he’s gonna be in Fort Collins! So excited!

Jesse is part Woody Guthrie, John Prine, Kris Kristofferson 1980s, Joan Baez, but most of all he is Jesse Welles, unique Troubadour seeing wrong and trying to right it by writing.
