FREE Johnny Cash American Recordings Outtakes
If you’re human, then you’re likely a fan of Johnny Cash’s “American Recordings” albums recorded with legendary producer Rick Rubin all the way up to his death. Fans thought that after this February’s American VI: Ain’t No Grave it was finito!, no mas, that’s all she wrote. But now some outtakes have surfaced, and 7 years after Cash’s death, he’s still treating us to new tunes.
All the outtakes were recorded early in the American sessions, when Cash’s mature voice was in its prime. It’s just Johnny Cash and his guitar, sitting in Rick Rubin’s living room, except for one track accompanied by Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. No overdubbs, just a live mic, warts and all.
So where can you get these 15 FREE songs? Don’t worry, I won’t string you out like LeBron Bron.
You can listen and download at thefrontloader.com.
Enjoy!

yes, it IS great stuff, I personally think the American Recordings is the best series of albums ever made by one artist. but these songs have been available for years.
I don’t think there will be a part 7, and I’m not sure there should be one. if there are any outtakes left, I’m sure Rick Rubin would have included them on Ain’t No Grave if they did any credit to the memory of Johnny Cash. He’s given enough beauty, let’s not spoil it.

Thank you for the link to TheFrontloader.com!
I agree with Michiel… American Recordings are the best series of albums made by one artist. Even though the last few contained more covers than originals, Cash’s interpretations were spot on for me. I’m a fan of his early work but he kinda lost me until these records.
I do hope there are more recordings to find.
