Hellbound Glory New Album “Damaged Goods” Coming
Reno, Nevada’s Hellbound Glory has announced plans for a brand new album. The working title is Damaged Goods, and it is set to be out by the end of this summer. But wait Don Pardo, there’s more. Frontman, singer, and songwriter Leroy Virgil is also working on an EP for his more signer/songwriter-oriented side project called “The Excavators” that has the tentative title of Underground.
Hellbound Glory’s 2010 offering Old Highs & New Lows was a critic’s favorite, winning praise from The 9513 and Country California to name a few, and was Saving Country Music’s 2010 Album of the Year. With Old Highs and their freshman album Scumbag Country, Leory Virgil proved himself a preeminent songwriter, backed by a badass stable of musicians.
The band is also currently booking a European Tour for November and December.
Saving Country Music captured a few new songs during Hellbound’s 2011 South by Southwest appearance that we might see on one of the new projects, and there’s a couple more on the official bootleg Live From The Cracker Swamp.

Hellbound Glory has to be my favorite musical group out there right now. This video really shows what Leroy Virgil is all about.

Ian- I agree. This band is incredible. I’m in love with every note they play these days. “Damaged Goods” will definitely be in top must get albums for the year. That and Biram’s new offering when he’s ready to share it!

Definitely can’t wait to hear this one. I love Scumbag Country and Old Highs and New Lows. One of the best bands around these days for sure.

I love Hellbound Glory, and look forward to this new cd. Just hope they explore some new themes, because another cd filled with booze and dope might be a bit too much. Anyway, their love for drugs should definitely bring them to Holland when they tour Europe. We got the best weed of the continent.

Hell yes.

sandman, is that a Hell Yes to our weed, or to Hellbound Glory?
May 27, 2011 @ 6:26 am
I don’t smoke weed, but I recognize Holland is quality. It’s more for Hellbound Glory though.

I just heard about this yesterday, and I can’t wait! Like several people above Hellbound Glory is my favorite contemporary band, and every new song I hear from Leroy I can’t wait to get on a disc! Thanks for the update Triggerman!

Maybe they will come to the Midwest soon. I dig Feudin’.
Great blog Triggerman. These are some great lyrics: “The man who ran like the river is withered and cracked like dry land”

Correction: come back. I missed them last time.

the fellas should be hittin’ the studio in a few weeks and workin’ up the new tracks. Leroy has a lot of it already written, so don’t worry about “damaged goods” treading the waters of the first two albums. The new one will be far bigger of a lyrical vibe and truly hone in on the Hellbound sound.

This rocketed to the “most anticipated release of 2011” spot. I can’t wait!!!

I’ve just seen some of Leroy’s stuff on Youtube, and I’m impressed. Some of the best country-songwriting I’ve heard for awhile.

These SCUMBAGS are absolutely phenomenal. Just saw them in Ketchum Idaho this weekend and in Alta Wyoming in march, and I have to say both shows were mind blowing. Hoping to catvh up with the boys when they are in Stanley Idaho in July.

I can’t fucking wait. They are the best thing going right now
