Mike & the Moonpies Drop a Ton of Headliner Tour Dates (+Europe!)

It would be a dereliction of your country music duty if Mike and the Moonpies rolled through your town, and you were just sitting on your couch surfing through Law & Order reruns instead of getting beers spilled on you and not giving a shit because your face was being rocked off by the greatest live band going in country music right now.
I’m not asking here, I’m telling. Get off your damn duff and go see Mike and the Moonpies. You’ll thank me later. Oh, and look here, they just dropped a ton of new tour dates around the release of their latest album One To Grow On due out August 10th. And if you don’t see a date in your area, sit tight. These dudes are tireless road dogs and will be rolling through your area soon enough.
Oh and what else do we have? All you Euros who’ve been complaining they never make it your way, they just dropped 17 dates in Europe as well. Some of you may remember, they were all set to take Europe by storm after releasing their last album Cheap Silver & Solid Country Gold, and COVID screwed it all up.
And I’m warning you folks, it may not be forever that you’ll be able see these guys where can stand 7 feet away from them and slam beers with them afterwards. Go make those memories while you can.
Mike and the Moonpies Tour Dates:
July 8, 2021 @ 11:55 am
The general lack of shows that are North of Richmond, Va on the East Coast is very puzzling to me.
July 8, 2021 @ 3:19 pm
Or South of Lauchhammer (?), Germany, in Europe. Fellers, the South doesn’t start in Europe before Vienna, Austria at the Northernmost!
July 12, 2021 @ 5:51 am
It is brutal. The majority of these true country acts (minus the Childers, Jinks, etc level artists) always skip the Northeast United States
July 8, 2021 @ 12:01 pm
Jeez, going to Europe but not coming up to the PNW.
July 8, 2021 @ 12:55 pm
. . . .or the NE. Europe’s in worse condition right now due to Covid than the North East of the US and venues up here are booking full schedules for the fall already. So, that’s no excuse anymore. Here’s hoping for some Moonpies shows up here sometime January through March 2022. Hey, can’t get from TX to Europe without flying over the North East.
At least Charley Crockett’s already booked some shows in the NE for early fall. Fingers crossed, finally getting to see him live after 2021’s cancelations.
July 8, 2021 @ 1:08 pm
Yeah… I did notice there’s an Idaho show, so that’s technically PNW. And Yreka is kinda PNW as well.
But, you know, both still a good long ways from the Puget Sound.
Heck, Yreka is actually the closer of the two at 7 hours away. Challis is almost 12 hours from here.
July 8, 2021 @ 7:40 pm
I’m bummed I missed seeing them when they played The Tractor last time. I don’t know why I didn’t but it was a decent reason. Either way it will be awhile.
July 8, 2021 @ 12:21 pm
Yreka CA…who would have thought!?! I guess I know what I am doing on the 12th!
July 8, 2021 @ 12:30 pm
Met the folks who helped make that show happen at Mile 0 Fest. Really great people. Was hoping to maybe be there, but it’s up in the air if I make it that far west this summer.
July 8, 2021 @ 9:50 pm
Give me a holler if you make it out here. I’ll buy you dinner at Yaks (one of yelps top 100 restaurants in America).
July 9, 2021 @ 7:52 pm
Be sure to get an order of those Scott’s tots. Horribly addictive in the best way possible.
July 8, 2021 @ 3:05 pm
Yea – me too. Was sure surprised to see that. Saw Johnny Cash there years ago too, so…
I don’t live there anymore, but my parents are still in the area, so think I’ll make that drive for sure!
July 9, 2021 @ 8:00 pm
They absolutely are. They’re like crack with everything all over everything. You know your stuff!
July 8, 2021 @ 12:25 pm
When I saw them in Dallas a while back ago, at the now defunct Blue Light – Dallas, I knew they were going places.
July 8, 2021 @ 12:26 pm
No shows in Florida…that sucks
July 8, 2021 @ 1:09 pm
We Florida folks are left out way too often when the great acts go on tour.
July 8, 2021 @ 2:30 pm
Going to Montana next week to see Tyler Childers and others that never come to Florida
July 8, 2021 @ 12:33 pm
BBR in just over a month!
July 8, 2021 @ 12:48 pm
four wisco dates. hot damn.
July 9, 2021 @ 8:56 am
I saw them at Shank Hall on a weeknight maybe four years ago and there were 23 people there but the Moonpies smoked! More recently saw them at Mile 0 fest a few times. Will be at Shank again this year.
August 26, 2021 @ 7:31 am
pumped for tonight? i am.
August 26, 2021 @ 8:27 am
I’m taking the ride north……….had a great time Sunday and watching all the videos from the last 3 nights in the Dells on their FB page just sealed it for me….”Hello Cleveland….errr….I mean Milwaukee!!!”

August 26, 2021 @ 9:09 am
Wow, I never knew about that sign…..LOL My “Hello Cleveland” comes from the movie This is Spinal Tap when the band members get lost on the way to the stage……lol Now whenever I see a band getting ready to take the stage I sometimes say “Hello Cleveland” and most get it because they’ve seen the movie. I didn’t say it to the Moonpies on Sunday, sometimes I just don’t think of it………maybe tonight?
August 26, 2021 @ 9:13 am
yeah i figured it was from spinal tap. just sort of an interesting happenstance.
July 8, 2021 @ 1:02 pm
3 days in a row at the dells!?! the biggest (but still ok) tourist trap in the USA? hope mike likes a lot of fudge with his moonpies.
July 8, 2021 @ 1:26 pm
maybe they just want to take in the majesty of rick wilcox or catch a few waves in the big kahuna?
July 8, 2021 @ 2:38 pm
I’ll be at the Law Office, I was wondering when I bought my ticket why it was a 5p show on a Sunday…..errr because they have to drive 3 hrs up to the Dells afterwards!!! They’ve done Dells residencies before, 1 time it was 5 days. It’s cool for them, they fit perfect up there with a built in crowd. I haven’t been there since 1968, still looks fun but I’d be exhausted from drinking every night. I’ve got a Milwaukee ticket if I feel like making that cruise. Moonpies touring the world and beyond!!!…………………
July 12, 2021 @ 8:47 am
Got tickets for the Law Office as well. If the 8/21 show wasn’t my daughter’s birthday, I’d be there!
July 8, 2021 @ 1:10 pm
First two songs off this new album are great. Up there with their very best stuff. “Hour on the Hour” might even be in the running as their very best song yet, and definite song of the year for me so far. If only they’d come to Florida.
July 8, 2021 @ 2:31 pm
I still can’t find where to listen to hour on the hour or to preorder the new album
July 8, 2021 @ 2:47 pm
Apple Music has it for sure. Assuming Spotify would as well.
July 8, 2021 @ 3:03 pm
I guess that’s all it’s been released to. I use Amazon music, pandora and YouTube but it’s not on any of those
July 8, 2021 @ 2:43 pm
It is murder being a Red Dirt fan while living in the bastion of the Northeast. All we get is Nashville Country singers. Outside of when Turnpike occasionally toured the I-95 corridor.
July 8, 2021 @ 5:40 pm
Why do so many musicians avoid Las Vegas? Between locals and tourists there are a lot of country fans here plus people are geared up to go out and party.
July 8, 2021 @ 8:22 pm
The Roanoke Illinois show isn’t at a venue, it’s just at someone’s farm in the middle of nowhere, about 15 minutes from me. Tickets are $25 and it includes free beer. Count me in.
July 12, 2021 @ 8:49 am
No kidding! It’s my daughter’s birthday but I am still trying to convince my wife that my 2 year old daughter would love it, haha. My brother in law lives 20 minutes away so it would work out great. I’m working on it.
July 16, 2021 @ 10:38 am
This show is gunna be a good one! Craig Gerdes and David Quinn are the openers.
July 8, 2021 @ 11:03 pm
Really great news. Glad there coming to Europe. Bought tickets before I read the entire article after I saw they where coming to Groningen.
July 9, 2021 @ 12:54 am
Nijmegen! Love it when bands come over to Europe and play the tiny dives first.
July 9, 2021 @ 1:32 am
Me to was glad to see they are coming to Groningen to play the show they were gonna play last year in a small venue.
July 9, 2021 @ 8:39 am
Still have the tickets from Paradiso, but no word on Amsterdam yet.
July 9, 2021 @ 5:58 am
Well damn….no Georgia dates.
July 9, 2021 @ 7:56 am
Ugh, no Irish dates!
I’ll be over to the UK in March for Jade Bird, guess this’ll mean another trip!
July 9, 2021 @ 4:13 pm
According to the daily newspaper Der Tagesspiegel Berlin all clubs & discos in the Netherlands must close again (after only two weeks of business). Restaurants must close at midnight.
No word about other entertainment venues & April 2022 is still far away.
So far…i will wait & see to buy my tix for the concert in Krefeld or Nijmegen. Since the guys play 101 concerts in Sweden…but not one in Suomi.
Two concerts in Berlin & Altlandsberg in 24 hours…well…why not.
Altlandsberg is just around the corner of Berlin…Berliner Autobahn-Ring (A10)…Exit Marzahn.
July 9, 2021 @ 6:53 pm
Pretty sure this is just the first leg. All those commenting about them not coming to their state/city: I’m sure it’s in the works.
July 9, 2021 @ 11:28 pm
Jeez, they’re coming to Crawley? Is that a typo?! Literally a fifteen minute drive from me.
Thanks for pointing out, Trig. Hope they play a Garry Stewart number or two.
July 10, 2021 @ 12:35 am
Thanks for the heads up! I’m happy they come to a small country like Sweden.
July 10, 2021 @ 10:50 am
I’ll bring my ass to Germany 4 sure. But still hold hope to bring them in Italy!!!
July 11, 2021 @ 7:55 am
Got mine for the Dosey Doe! Can’t wait.
July 13, 2021 @ 5:05 am
Come on. There has to be somebody other than me that can’t stand this band. To paraphrase my dear old granddad, I wouldn’t walk across the street o see them.
