Though 2025 continues to see the rise in popularity of more country-sounding songs, this parallels a dramatic rise in really really bad straight up pop and hip-hop tracks being inexplicably pushed to the country market.

A couple of weeks ago, HARDY announced a new album called ‘The Mockingbird and THE CROW’ to be released on January 20th, 2023, and released three preview songs with it. One of them is called “here lies country music,” and similar to ERNEST’s “Flower Shops,” it’s a straight ahead traditional country song.

Most definitely a departure from Hank3’s country stuff, and even his punk and metal projects, much of the Grandiose Delusions material is a strange mix of synth heavy electronica with a dark metal undertone. The image of a cover design in one of the videos reveals more details about this project

The great Loretta Lynn died on October 4th at the age of 90, leaving behind one of the most impressive catalogs in country music history. But as Saving Country Music previously reported, we’re probably not done hearing from Loretta Lynn just yet, including a rendition of an iconic recording.

Country rap artist Mikel Knight who calls himself the “Country Rap King” lost a wrongful death civil suit in Nashville’s Davidson County Circuit Court on Friday (10-21), and a jury has awarded the mothers of two deceased individuals who previously worked for Mikel Knight a total of $20,718,575.20 in damages.
