“Landman” Season 1 was an excellent forum for showcasing independent country and roots artists, picking up where Sheridan’s series Yellowstone left off. Season 2 is on the way.
It’s like Taylor Sheridan and Andrea von Foerster took everything they learned from Yellowstone and the music, and did themselves one level better on the Landman series.
Amidst their 20th Anniversary as a band, Th’ Legendary Shack Shakers have announced they have signed to legendary punk label Alternative Tentacles, and will be releasing their first album in five years The Southern Surreal on September 11th. The news comes after the band resumed touring last year after calling it quits in November of 2012.
The Louisiana Hayride is on its way back, and in a big way. Arguably the 2nd most influential music program in country music history, only rivaled in stature by The Grand Ole Opry, it’s been an effort that has lasted over 20 years and seen a major renovation of the radio program’s original home of The Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport that has put organizers on the brink of bringing the show back.
