The Hook was built to help address the problems facing performers by providing a video platform for both established songwriters, and up-and-comers by allowing anyone to be able to sign up for the opportunity to perform a song.
Songwriting showcase The Hook was founded in hopes of giving up-and-coming songwriters with the stuff to blow up big time some of their very first opportunities at a national audience. multiple artists came forth who very well might fulfill that.

Bob Mason has been playing in a bluegrass outfit called the Piper Road Spring Band for 52 years. “We started when we were 4 years old,” he jokes. They played the Grand Ole Opry in 1978.
Of all the songwriters who’ve participated in the songwriting showcase The Hook, songwriter Paul Orehovec—who performs under the name Poor Life Choices—has definitely been one of the most colorful.
